Walked in to get a room. From experience asked to see the room as often what they offer and what you get can be vast difference.

Yes the hotel is a bit old but I did not mind this at all, some may say charm, I checked the shower for water pressure at the tap fell off- ha!

They said the would fix as we were straight out and about. When we returned they gave us new room.

The staff were friendly and no issues, we enjoyed the free breakfast with good coffee. The location is great with a short 10min walk to port.

I would return here.

Good enough, perfect location

For the price I paid I expected more from this hotel. The carpet on the hallways was old and stained. The rooms where just fine except that my complaint that the air conditioning was not getting cooler was not taken seriously until I reported the matter to the front desk after a day of restless sleep.

Only towels and soap sa toiletries, without complementary bottles of water provided. The shower was leaking even after turning off the faucet. Problems with the toilet flush, and the bathroom tiles really need a thorough cleaning. 

If not for the convinience of the hotel’s location I really would have transferred.

Bottomline ... look for another hotel.

Not what I expected ....

I stayed here before and after a stay on Siquijor. The location is excellent ,a short walk from the pier.
I had a de luxe room which was the cheapest and had no window. The AC was fine in the room but the public areas of the hotel were stiflingly hot and humid.
Breakfast was OKish but offering coffee OR juice I found a bit mean.
Staff all lovely.
The morning I left I was awoken by music at 6 a.m. which must indicate thin walls.

Stay in December 2019

Room was dirty- bathroom even dirtier, the water wouldnt stop dripping after turning the shower off, tiles outdated, toilet bowl needed more cleaning and glasstains were everywhere. A/C was not cold enough. Location was ideal, the managment should rethink their prices.

Overpriced old building

A bit late post. Got reminded now that i am booking for a hotel in Dumaguete again. Stayed in March. Supposed to stay 5 nights but checked out after one night. Way way below what they advertise.

The only good thing i can say about this hotel is that majority of their staff are friendly especially those at the resto. I had to check out and transfer to another hotel.
Their rates are too high for the kind of rooms and very limited facilities they offer. Actually, except for a defective aircon, they basically have nothing more to offer. Like at 2,500 per night, single occupancy, there was not even a free bottle of water. Their restroom tiles are already worn out, stained and discolored. There was also this foul smell that seemed like uncleaned corners and the likes that imply roaches are hiding in those corners. 
The door doesn't have a double lock as an added security for guests. And the lock is a common door knob, not the sensor activated type.
Their ACU is not efficient and flooded the floor cause it was dripping the entire night. Wifi was also not that stable.
Floor is made of wood and when other guests walked fast, footsteps can be heard inside the room. 
The shower doesn't have enough pressure to provide good water flow. Shower takes too long due to poor water flow. And take note, warm water is hardly available.
Will never stay in this hotel again. The location could have been perfect but it's just too uncomfortable. 

Over rated 

Dated hotel with stained green carpets. Poor staff especially front desk who are unwelcoming. No aid in bringing up luggage. I even fell down on the last step of the stairs right in front of the front desk and no one helped or even seemed concerned. No hot water. No soap. Just 1 free outlet to charge your things. Good location otherwise not a hotel i would return to.

Dated

Was not happy , outdated , needs refurbishment, poor wifi , tv didn’t work , no bum gun in washroom and the usual cheap Filipino policy of 1 roll of toilet paper per day no matter how many people are in room ! Very loud location and staff started hammered next door first thing in the morning ! Lol ... terrible bathroom as well . Could be a nice place , spend some money ! 

Tired and needs facelift 

Myself and a roommate stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in late March, 2018.  For the price the hotel was comfortable and in a very convenient location.  The room and common areas were clean and well maintained.  The restaurant was excellent!  I was particularly pleased by the housekeeping staff there.  I had been traveling for days before staying here, and I had several little problems I needed help with.  Every person I asked for help from was eager to assist me.  I was particularly impressed by the assistance provided by the woman named Ligaya, but there were others who were very helpful, too.  They all represented your hotel very well.  I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to all my friends.
