Alpes Huaraz

Very cozy and good place to hang around and nice staff. Good food and cheap beers. They had great services for hikes and other entertainment. If i ever was in Huaraz again i would love to go there again! Not to forget free coffee in The morning😂😂

Great time at Alpes hostal, lovely people and caring staff! The room was really nice and the whole hostal is a nice place to relax in between those tough hikes. I’d recommend to anyone staying in Huaraz and would stay here again if I ever came back.

Great hostel, Riccardo an excellent manager great guy, Carlos too. Lots of treks and climbs go from here, staff can organise it all. Good vibe between peep’s and friendly informal feel to the place. Luce does great breakfasts - enjoyable stay.

I’m not really a big fan of hostels. If I had my way I’d find or dig a nice tent platform up in the mountains and stay there. But in a place like Huaraz for two gringas that’s not really the safest option.

That said, I LOVED ALPES HUARAZ! The people staying there were by far much nicer and friendlier than any hostel we stayed at in Cusco or Lima. For me that’s everything, and the awesome people like Carlos who work here are incredible. 

My friend and I stayed in a private room w private bathroom for 3 nights. (Not that much extra for short term + two people)

Here are some more highlights from my stay.

0. Filtered water for free!!!!!!
1. People: super chill, friendly hikers, everyone wants to explore and adventure and were super unpretentious. 
2. Tours: the tours we did to Churup (via collectivo as recommended by staff) and Pastoruri Glacier were super fun. Not like a tour full of a bunch of other Europeans etc. but like a grassroots semi-ridiculous incredibly authentic tour w a bunch of nice Peruvian people and families. 
3. Shower: incredibly hot. Incredibly high water pressure. Towels provided. 
4. Bed: incredibly comfy
5. Wi-Fi was fine for answering emails and looking up treks. You’re in flipping Huaraz Peru don’t expect the same Wi-Fi as at home.

Really nice hostel!! Easy to meet people and they organise really good tours! Really liked my stay here! Recommend! The rooms are nice and they give you big blankets so you are nice and warm during the night!

The staff at the reception were very helpful with booking all our treks and giving general advice and recommendations. The beds are really comfy and the rooms are always cleans. Also the outside area is very social and easy to meet other travellers.

Nice hostel with lovely staff, we were upgraded to a private room for no extra cost when we arrived, booked an amazing tour to laguna 69 through the reception which was really easy to do, big kitchen available to use. Really nice terrance with a view of the sunset over Huaraz. Only thing was the hot water was a bit temperamental but other than that a great stay - would recommend!

Social, decent place, good information on tours and treks, lots of other people doing the same thing. Free coffee and teas throughout the day. Kitchen included, hot showers nice outside spaces. Would reccomend if you are visiting huaraz.

I came here with some friends for two nights. They automatically offered us breakfast and places to put our bags. A nice big kitchen that you can cook in. The bedroom and bathrooms are clean and well kept. The whole hostel is very clean. It is nicely located. They also offer tours that are reasonably priced and nicely organized. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Huaraz

I recommend this hostel because it's quiet, close to the center (plaza de armas and the main road), has good WIFI, the stuff is really helpful, breakfast is basic,  the dorms are clean and  also the bathrooms.
