Finnskogen Turist & Villmarksenter

We just went here today, on the downside our dog sledding experience was cancelled due to a freak weather heat surge that has melted all the snow, we have been in Tromso for five days and it hasn't snowed once, in fact with each day passing more and more ice has been melting away! On the upside, the staff here are absolutely wonderful, very happy to answer any questions and very warm and friendly. We were given the option of going on a husky hike instead which I'm glad we took them up on, as it was great, you get lots of time to spend with the dogs who are all so individual, some social butterflies, others a little quieter but all friendly. We went for a walk with the dogs and spent some one on one time with the dogs we walked.. The lunch we had was great I had a vegetarian meal (which I chose as my meal option) that was awesome, we also got to play with the puppies - very cheeky happy dogs. Whilst they are chained to their kennels when not being exercised they are all happy and content as they get a lot of exercise when they do go sledding and love getting pats from guests. One tip though - use the overalls that they have and the boots too, as the dogs will jump on you and cover you with mud if you let them jump up! This experience was the highlight of my time in Tromso, it's a must do for dog lovers😊.
