For Christmas I bought a groupon voucher for my husband to have dinner in Hotel Restaurant Jérôme. When booking I was asked to attach the mail with the voucher to it. A great idea as I had forgotten to bring the printed version. Something which happens probably more often. We were warmly welcomed by the staff including the chef. There is an open kitchen which always gives me a 'They 've nothing to hide' feeling. Well that was certainly true! We got the most wonderful dinner accompanied by the suggested wine arrangement. It was delicious. We spent the night at the hotel. Okay, it is not a boutique hotel but the room was very clean, the bed was as it should be and everything worked. Breakfast we had at hotel 2000, a normal breakfast buffel with quite a lot to choose from. Taking into consideration what the price was of the voucher, this was an absolutely exquisite experience!

Superb dinner and wine arrangement! A must go to!

I had booked a dinner plus overnight, attracted by the reputation of the restaurant, but hesitant due to other not fantastic reviews of the hotel. The dinner was excellent, fully in line with the reputation of the chef, but we were also happy with the room accommodation. Simple room with somewhat aged furniture, but very clean with comfortable bed and essential but fully functional bathroom equipment. Not a "boutique hotel', but simple and with the charm of old-timer lodgings (maybe due to my age I can appreciate it more...:-) ). Perfect for overnight without having to drive around after the meal 9and the wines).

Food was underwhelming. Not what we expected. Service was not so attentive. There was a dead spider in our wine glass and the waiter just took the glass away without any apology and never came back. We informed another passing waitress after we paid the bill, and was offered seven euros back. We didn't take it. Pity, i think in general, they can do better. 

Disappointment

Booked on booking.com for a Saturday night for three people coming over from abroad. Arrived at 1930 and there was no one there and the door was locked, called the hotel and essentially after standing around for an hour were informed that no one would be available to check us in. 
The hotel only checks people in between 4-6pm, arrive outside these hours and you are not getting into your room - a policy that isn't clear at all. 
In the end we left having had our Saturday night wasted. Bumped into another guest who said his room was way too hot but obviously not a lot he could do about when the staff abandon the property outside of their two hour period. 
Literally the worst hotel I've ever been too.
