It was a great experience and I am really pleased that I chose that house, I never forget the comfort of the place and hospitality of the landlord. I enjoyed especially her cook and she usually invited me for dinner and her food was delicious.   ,

It was our first time in Morocco . 
We decided to book chez fouzia’s aprtms 
Was beautiful, cozy and clean . 
Great location , safe area . Absolutely fantastic property   Especially mme fouzia was very helpful with her little family 
I stayed in first floor with my husband and my 2 kids we have felt like home  and my kids loved the place not far from the beach almost 10 minutes walking everything is nearby 
fouzia prepared for us a Moroccan tajine was very delicious 😋 
I would happily stay again and recommend to friends. “ choukran fouzia 🌹

I have visited Morocco a number of occaisions but I had not received the welcoming hospitality as I did from Madame Fouzia and her lovely family....I was welcomed at the airport by herself and her son.....I was brought tea and biscuits on arrival...Madame Fouzia's son carried my bags to my room....I was made a traditional Moroccan dish on my second night....as a solo female traveller I was made to feel welcome and as part of the family....I felt safe and well looked after.....the cleaner offered to clean my apartment on a daily basis if I chose....the apartment was warm, spacious and very clean....the water was always hot.....my bedding and towels were changed when I requested.....WIFI available throughout......I had such a wonderful 2 weeks in December that I have since come again in February for 10 days...I have recommended to my friends and family and I will definitely be back again....this is Morocco and the people are so friendly...Madame Fouzia speaks wonderful French and Arabic and her sons also speak excellent English......For the keen traveller who wants to experience the true essence of this wonderful country I would Highly Recommend.....

The worst part about being burglared there is that we suspect that the host's son was responsible, because the lock of the door was not broken and he had been spying on us from an upper appartment at night. You'd better look for another place: cleaner, safer, closer to the beach and the medina and much much better.

Don't even think about going to this appartment, we got burglared there!!!

Stayed one night with some friends who incredibly chose this place over all the other beautiful accommodation in essaouira!
Everything was filthy, fridge mouldy and didn't work. Gas boiler had no flu and was coughing out sooty deposits up the wall! Exposed sockets, dirty everything.....this is really the nastiest place I've stayed for some time!
The space is large with a weird court yard living space. Nice roof terrace with perilous spiral stairs and no top hand rail.

Don't do it

Left for 5.5 hours in wrong apartment, despite having Emailed twice and phoned. The 2 bedroomed apartment had been given to a French couple, tried to fob us off with the 1 bedroomed apartment they should have had. Madam Fuzia managed to get them to exchange after I asked for my money back and was about to leave.
Hot water was never better than luke warm in shower and had to be left running before it warmed a fraction. Only cold water in kitchen sink ( 1 tap) Boiled the kettle for hot water to shave and wash dishes, no cleaner but was charged, 2 bath towels and a tea towel, never was changed. We was there a week (7 nights)
Spent 3 hours next day cleaning, rust covered fridge, mold inside, black mold in shower room, black mold on toilet seat, nets filthy, bedding clean but old worn through in places. Bed frames held up with pallets. Only one oil filled radiator for 2 bedroomed apartment, had to swap between bedrooms, very cold at night, no plug socket in lounge .
WiFi intermittent as was the Sat TV Channels.
Walls dirty from some sort of spillage. Complaining got us no where, "No speak good English" although the Son complained to me for leaving the kitchen light on...!
Pots, pans and dishes needed washed before use. Having meticulously checked out other apartments in the area whilst there Madam Fouzia's apartment was extortionately expensive in comparison. Had we have been financially better off we would has left the apartment and gone else where, this is the only problem booking direct with the Landlord in a foreign country, suing would be impossible. Another thing we never did get an invoice *tomorrow*! Although charged for bed linen, towels and cleaner extra, cleaner never attended and towels never changed * Tomorrow*! We will put this down to a learning curve, we will visit Essaouira again just not Madam Fouzia's, you couldn't pay me to stay there again. Have way more proof photo's than can be added here !
