A great campsite and auberge as close to the Erg Chebbi desert dunes as you can get, and camels on standby! Ali is a great host, with a wealth of information and local knowledge. The rooms in the auberge are comfortable and Ali offers a good room+dinner offer for around 25euros. Dinner comes in tasty, generous portions. The campsite is partly on sand but also has harder standing for motorhomes. Shower and toilet facilities are clean and well kept and the camp is about a kilometer from the town of Merzouga.
