This place is magical and the people who live there are the kindest we've met in our whole trip to Mexico. A beautiful vibe, the hostel is well located, with a nice green patio and a rooftop. I definitely recommend !

Fabulous and magical

Stayed here with a friend and her 7 year old child, who fell in love with the cats! We left for the beach for a couple of days and came back and stayed for a couple more nights. The breakfast is not great, but there is a lovely courtyard with hammocks.  Overall, we were happy with our stay and the location was excellent. Thank you Andrea and Maria :)!!!

Friendly and Great Location

This hostel was lovely for us and a great place to unwind and relax. The chill out areas (the inner quad and rooftop terrace) were really nice with hammocks etc. The staff, especially Maria, were very kind and always willing to help! We stayed in a private room with our own shower and toilet , so no complaints there. The location was ideal as everything that we wanted to see, as well as good food and bars, was in walking distance , we never had to take a taxi! We liked the fact that it wasn’t a party hostel. The breakfast was not the best (toast and jam) but it seems to be the same at most hostels (and it’s free, so I guess it doesn’t really matter).

A wonderful relaxing time

I passed a very very nice time in the hostel Luz de la Luna. This hostel is really beautiful, very green and a place of harmony and peace. The staff was very friendly, helpful and talkative. What I loved about the hostel the most were the "green practices". They try to affect the environment as less as possible by not wasting water for example and separating the rubbish. Thank you so much! I enjoyed my stay with you a lot and I would always come back!!!

Beautiful hostel in Oaxaca

There was a stair missing near the reception, next to the wifi password, and next to a big sculpture me and my friends swear was already cracked. I fell down the broken square and it broke straight away, the guy was friendly but it was the facilities fault I fell, charging me $400 because it couldn't be fixed? Then we went out for lunch and came back and it was fixed, exactly how it was waiting for the next person. Also the daytime rate was a lot, they charge you extra at every turn. The bus they booked for me was 50mins late, not fun at 11:30pm. I just had an all around terrible experience here and feel I got scammed. Left $600mxc lighter, and the bus was a mini bus anyway, so do yourself a favour and book at the station, it's half the price!

Not to impressed

I stayed at a mixed dorm with 8 beds, it was clean and comfortable. the hostel is nice and calm, with the plants and hammocks it creates a chilled out environment for you to rest after the trips. the staff is very kind and you will feel good to be around them.
it's a great option for the prices they offer.
