I Stayed at this place host very friendly. Its very high up the hill so in Summer its cool. Very very Clean and easy to find lots of parking away from the busy tourists. I will stay there again for sure

adriana, saverio and mendy have a very friendly and good hospitality. the breakfast was lovely and the cakes adriana bakes are really delicious. if one wants a relaxing and quite atmospher sure not to be missed. thanks you made our stay one to remeber. thanks xxx


Beautiful and very well kept property spotlessly clean extremely relaxing very quiet and laid back environment pool is excellent very clean and refreshing as well as the jacuzzi the tenants are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent the rooms are very well kept spacious and comfortable with modern furniture there is really nothing to compl a in about just perfect

Staying at the Vecchio Mulino made our short break even more relaxing .. Adriana and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. It's as though you're family! Thumbs up! Given it is not easily accessible by bus, I would definitely recommend renting a car.

Great place to Relax

Booked three nights here but ended up cancelling and leaving when we arrived. 

When arriving in the evening, two hours after our anticipated arrival time because of missing the ferry to Gozo (one of us was feeling ill), our first words from the host were chastisement for making her wait for us to check in. Beyond somewhat rude responses to our questions and special requests, communication was very difficult due to lack of basic English proficiency.

This property is middle-of-the-road as far as Gozo B&Bs go but we felt that the property misrepresents itself on its listings. For example:

Part of our primary reason for booking this property over other similar properties on Gozo was the listed amenity of Hot tub/Jacuzzi. However, on arrival we discovered that the small "hot tub" actually does not have heated water (either the water is not heated or they would not turn the heat on).

After being shown our room, we were told that we would be charged 5 euro a day extra to run the in-room heater (we booked for mid-December). 

It may have been the obvious communication barrier or the cultural differences which clouded expectation, but all of our requests (such as having breakfast at 7:30AM instead of 8AM when we were the only guests staying) were met with passive-aggressive responses as if our presence was a big inconvenience to the hosts. 

The property is rustic and has nice farmhouse touches, but the beds are not very comfortable and the bedding inadequate for cold weather. The location is isolated and only makes sense if you have a car. 

In the end, we attempted to leave and cancel our booking without penalty after explaining that the amenities were not as expected but the hosts insisted on charging us the cancellation fee. We ended up finding a much more welcoming and warm (warm without paying for it!!) property on the other side of the island.
