Asins Holiday Inn

This is an affordable, clean, modern and simple hotel that in my opinion is very suitable for families. The front of the hotel needs some work but the pool side is beautiful. We rented out 2 rooms: one for me and my wife, and the other for our 3 children. I was impressed with the friendliness and hospitality of the staff especially the hotel manager. The hotel grounds, pools and rooms was kept clean and every issue that we encountered was quickly attended to, even at night. The hotel is across the street from the beautiful white sand Diani beach, so we just walked there whenever we wanted to enjoy the beach. Tuk-tuk's were the mode of transport and costed around 100ksh. We kept our computers, ipads and iphones in the rooms and they were not disturbed. My only issues were that the menu was very limited but the manager was most gracious, and suggested affordable restaurants that we could visit. Another issue was that the pools were open to the public and was packed full on Christmas and Boxing day, so much so that I didn't feel it was safe for the children to be there, so we walked to the beach. Otherwise, when not too packed, the pool was fun for the children because there were many children to play with. Every worker at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful except for one older waiter who seemed to be impolite and smelled of alcohol. Overall, this place is a very good place for families, the children are free to be children and that's what makes this place so good. No pretentiousness.
