A big room, very good location near the beach (although the beach is not very nice) bars, shops and restaurants. Good WI-FI for the most part, a fan in the room, a fridge in the room, very quiet hotel. I got a free upgrade and Kevin the marketing guy was very friendly. Unlike the rest of the staff! Comfortable hard mattress. Very clean hotel.

HORRIBLE nasty untrained rude front desk staff. Never have I seen anything like it before. From the minute I checked in they were rude. Small bathroom, no safe box in the room, frequent power cuts but the hotel has a generator, this hotel is in desperate need of being fumigated. There are ants, cockroaches etc. in the room and they all come out at night. No international TV channels, the elevator was out of order upon my arrival, the closet in my room had no hangers and was not stable. No phone in the room, no insect screens, a broken window glass and balcony glass door in my room. A broken chair, the view was a building site! The front door was hard to open. The hotel requires the guests to leave their key in the reception when they go out. The first time I did that and returned I was given the wrong key. The second time I had to run around and look for the cleaner who had my key so that was the end of that. I just kept the key myself. Loud church related events take place in the yard next to the hotel, the shower was tiny and the water went everywhere and the shower curtains were too long. I was told upon my arrival that breakfast was not included in the price although it was. The front desk staff were very uneducated and rude. One evening a male staff member entered my room without knocking. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was looking for a TV remote. In my room late at night???????? I got dressed and went down to the front desk to complain and they did not care. One staff member looked the other way and another was looking at her computer. They did not want to address the issue and did not see the big deal that a male staff member had just walked into my room late at night while I was in bed. And why did he have to go to my room which was on the top floor in the far end corner, to look for a TV remote, when he could have looked for one on the other floors or somewhere closer to the reception??? Very odd and they way it was handled was shocking.

Horrible experience

The hotel services are horrible.The toilets are small and very dirty.During lunch our clients were only served some warm juice(in the hot coastal weather) yet we bargained for juice, water or a soda.The rationing of stationery and water....the faulty microphones.... Everything is a flop!
If you choose it for conference, do it at your own peril!

My experience at the hotel was very good, it was on a weekend, and the staff were very friendly , caring and always ready to help, the rooms were clean, and the staff always smiling, also their have a beach restaurant where you can view the ocean, it was such a sensentional feeling , i encourage international guests to visit the place, God bless.

A VERY EXCELLENT HOTEL TO VISIT

I am not sure what works at Pine court. No wifi; poor breakfast, the bathroom is so tiny and squeezed. It is really a bad choice for business travellers. Maybe the only consolation is the big bed and TV in the room. Not worth a visit once again.

Services below a budget hotel

I stayed here for two nights while on business.  It's a nice enough place. the bed was comfortable.  I asked for the quietest room they have and do it was at the back of the hotel.  So the view was a building under construction but I wasn't there for the view.  The staff was very pleasant.  It was a secure place with plenty of security guards.  It has air conditioning.  You can walk to the beach.  if that building behind it wasn't under construction you would have a nice sea view.  The beaches are lovely. And across the street is a supermarket and an Italian restaurant.  One thing you need to know about Malindi...  there are tons of Italians!  also there is a rooftop bar/restaurant.  It's a nice place (and it's cool up there with the breeze) to have a drink or even hold a meeting, which is what we did. I also ate there and the food was decent.
