Aone Onsen Okazaki Ryokan

Firstly, this place is known as 'Aone Onsen Okazaki Ryokan' on booking.com and other booking sites. It has lovely, clean, traditional rooms. It has super helpful, friendly, attentive staff. Great onsens. Great food. All in a lovely little village in the mountains... There are 2 buildings - don't go to the gorgeous older looking one in the picture. You have to check in at the newer yellow-ish building opposite (joined by a tunnel under the road we later found out). There's not any other food available in the small town (that we could find) but there are options not too far away if you have transport. The degustation dinner was exceptional but a bit challenging, as always, if you don't eat seafood. I get the feeling not many Westerners stay here, though we had no trouble communicating with the staff. This was prefect for us :)
