Nearby to almost every tourist needed. Less than 5 minutes walk from Tottori station, nearby shopping malls, eateries, cafe, ramen shops, etc. And the most amazing thing is there's sento inside ( and the massage chair as well), included in hotel facilities. Pajamas provided. Will definetely stay here when in Tottori. Coin laundry, vending machine also inside the hotel, too

Great location close to the rail station but yet quiet enough. Room with twin beds was a little bigger than the terribly cramped rooms one usually get. Bathroom small but fully functional. Shower and aircon work fine. Good value 600 yen breakfast available. Only thing I didn't like was the petty functionary on reception when I checked in who kept us waiting right until the stroke of 3pm to give me the room key. After I was super abrupt with him he showed a lot more proper attitude. 

Generally OK

The only attractions are the price and slight larger room among hotels of the same price range.

Please note that you have to climb a flight of stairs to the reception and off street parking in front of the hotel is not always available.

For budget travelers

This hotel is very well located. Just a few minutes walk from Tottori station. Staff speak minimal English and even give wrong information on how to go to tottori sand dunes. It is better you ask the infomation centre at the tottori station. 

Hotel room is ok, as usual small but very clean. Bed is nice and shower is good too. There's a lot eateries surround this hotel. Free water, coffee, chococolate drink and tea at the lobby.

Overall, I will stay this hotel again

Near to Tottori station

This hotel is opposite Tottori station (as the name indicates) so is probably very convenient for those travelling by train. We arrived by car, which wasn't quite as convenient. Although it said parking was provided, there rules that we were not aware of until we arrived. The parking was in a lot adjacent to the hotel, and not owned by the hotel. The hotel had obviously made an agreement with the lot owners for guests to use it between check-in and check-out times. During these times guests receive a voucher that provides free parking. As we were an hour early we went to another parking station and paid until such time as we could park near the hotel. It was raining the day we arrived so having to park some distance from the hotel was not ideal.

As the earlier reviewer said, access is via stairs from the street to reception, so not great if you have a lot of luggage or are incapacitated in any way. The reception area is contemporary in appearance. The first staff member we spoke to wasn't particularly helpful, but when we returned at check-in time we were greeted by several very helpful staff who did their best to talk us through the hotel's features.

On the reception level is a business centre and a vending machine. I don't know if this was on every level, but on the level we stayed there was an area / open cupboard in the corridor that seemed to provide additional pillows, ironing facilities etc. We did not need any of these things, so I don't know if you could just help yourself or if there was a procedure involved in their use.

The room was a standard business hotel type of room: compact, clean and quite contemporary in appearance. What was unusual were the doors to the rooms. They were a hollow metal that made us feel like we were on a ship as they sort of clanged when opened and closed. But these did not seem to affect the noise coming in to the room, so did not impact on our sleep.

The hotel is well situated for restaurants and shops although the two nearest convenience stores in the area are some distance away. That said, if you are early enough, there is a large department store on the opposite side of the street that has a great range of products.

On check-out the parking became an issue again. It is an open lot, and as it was raining again, it was not comfortable taking suitcases to the car. The hotel staff kindly offered us umbrellas that did help. When we tried to use the voucher supplied for free parking the machine rejected it. So after trekking back to the hotel reception we were accompanied by one of the staff (he may have been the manager, I'm not really sure). Anyway, after the voucher failed to work for him, he actually pulled cash from his own pocket and paid for the parking. I do hope he was reimbursed by the hotel as this turned a potentially sour experience for us into one of great appreciation.  He also took the umbrellas they had lent us back to the hotel, saving us from getting wet again. So many thanks to this staff member!

In summary, it is a newish business hotel and reasonably priced. Perfect if you arrive by train, but not recommended for car travellers as there is potential for inconvenience.

Quite nice business hotel

Location: Quite convenient, just across the Tottori station, around 2min walk.  But so are most other hotels in Tottori.

Hotel:  1st impression wasn't the greatest, as I found out I had to carry my luggages up a set of stairs to the reception + entrance to the hotel.  So if you have a lot of luggages or happen to be in a wheelchair, be prepared, or just look for another stay?  Entrance onward was not bad, reception area seem very tidy, clean and fresh.  (as seen in photos).  For some reason, I expected the rooms to be a little more spacious and newer looking, given the amount I had to pay.  But back to reality, it's just what you see in the pictures provided on the booking sites, no more no less.  Rooms a bit dull due to the kind of lighting and the colour of bedding used.  Nonetheless was all tidy and clean, and that's what matters most.  Internet wise, it's the commonly found LAN connection in room again, but there's also a business centre with free internet + printer to use beside the reception.  Did I mention it is a Mac?!  Not bad!

Service:  Wasn't too impressed in the beginning as the receptionist I met didn't speak very good English, but that all went away when they tried their best to answer my questions and find out answers for me when I least expected it.  I asked for directions and how much it cost to get to Sakaiminato (a "nearby" city that was hrs away).  They really just told me they had no idea, but later went on to dig up the train info and handed to me which I was nicely surprised.  They also tried their best to meet your requests for things around the hotel, eg. lending of their bicycles even though I have checked out already.  Although I didn't end up using it, but it was still a very kind gesture of theirs.

All in all not a bad choice of stay in Tottori.  But given to time search again next time, I would not mind trying something different, esp. when if they're at similar pricing.  I kind of booked this hotel in the middle of my Kansai trip, so was really a last minute thing.  There're definitely other choices out there, so do look around and compare before you head in.

Almost forgot to mention, is the hotel seem to have a nice casual restaurant downstairs that apparently serve pretty good food (my friend in Tottori told me).  Every time I pass by it does seem pretty filled, and the menu did look compelling.  Too bad I did not get a chance to try it out.
