The stay exceeded our expectations! Price was very reasonable. The room was spacious and clean. We have a tub in our room and an access to our own outdoor space. There are private outdoor hot tubs with a view. The room had 4 pairs of crocs slippers to use while bathing outside.

Cozy retreat

I was recommended this restaurant but the Hilton Hotel, where we are staying. I have many allergies and am also gluten and dairy intolerant so it has been quite difficult to find anything to eat other than sushi. Tonight was different - I just had probably the best 5 course meal I have EVER had. The food was delicious - every course - and the staff just lovely. Thank you the Hilton for recommending such an amazing place and thank you to the chef of this wonderful restaurant.

Food to die for!

We stayed in the new block for two nights in a triple room. The room was very spacious with a nice big bath tub, separate toilet, and a nice patio. We stayed there with half-board plan and both breakfast and dinner were tantalizing. Lots of local organic veggies and nice European style meals. 

The hotel provides each room with one session of private bath every day, but I think the bath tub in our room wasn't any less comfy. 

It's five minutes drive away from the station, or 10 minutes by bus. Please note that double rooms in the main building are quite dated in decor and you should specifically ask for the new wing.

Lovely grounds, wonderful food, spacious room

Very nice n warmth Hospitality .. Breakfast n dinner were Excellent.Very nice spacious room too. Hotel arranged private onsen room for an hour only once a day ..it was a very quite n romantic hotel ,, I'm going back in Feb 2016 .. Miss the lodging so much 



Honeymoon 

The hotel facilities are all new and photogenic, but the room we picked was not big for the expensive price. It's easier if you drive to the hotel and there are enough parking lots. The breakfast at the restaurant was great. It would be good if the young staff learn to speak better English if this hotel targets more international tourists.

An IG-able hotel

Very charming resort with lovely rooms and good facilities. We loved the open air bath that you can book for 45 min for yourself. The room was spacious and clean and the place felt like a lovely place to spend a weekend surrounded by nature. The only reason for the low rating was the hotel restaurant, that was extremely disappointing. It was one of the top three most expensive meals of our entire Japan trip, yet the only really bad one. The staff was lovely and attentive, but the food was very poor. They claim to have this cool concept around fresh local vegetables, but the thing is that they don't manage to make good food out of them. The vegetables we got served were overcooked, watered out, with no taste whatsoever and no processing beyond simply being boild or thrown on a plate with some dressing or into a gelatine. The beef was also badly cooked, and the wine by the glass was low quality. The bread tasted old and dry. Very sad to be giving such bad feedback, but we were really disappointed by the experiece and we felt absolutely tricked. This would have been forgivable for a 3000 yen meal but not for a 9000 yen one.

Nice hotel as long as you don't eat there

彼と宿泊しました。 フォレストスイートの部屋を予約したんですが、お風呂とお部屋は写真と非常に異なりました。　部屋はきれいではなかった、そして、外でうるさかったです。 多くの野菜があったので、唯一のよいことは朝食でした。 失望しました。。。

We stayed one night at this hotel.  Although I had reserved the "Forest Suite" room, the actual room was quite different to how the pictures looked.  The room was not very clean and outside was noisy.  The one good thing was the breakfast, which had a lot of vegetables.
