Hotel Saika

Firstly, I would point out that this hotel is in fact called Hotel Saika, not Hotel Ayaka. They have used kanji in a confusing way when they named it. This is a lovely hotel very close to all the stations in the area, as well as a lot of shops and restaurants.We stayed in a 4 bed room, which is difficult to find in Japan. The room was fairly small but modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and even helped me do some laundry. They do not serve breakfasts but they bake croissants and pastries in the office and bring them out to the lobby at 8.30am in the morning, which was a treat (they are free!). There is also a useful free coffee machine and an internet-connected computer in the lobby. There is a 24 hour Lawson shop diagonally opposite the road. The beach is 5 min walk away, across the road (via an underpass). Beware of the numerous Tobi (Black Kites) which will snatch food from your hands - this happened to us! Enoshima is a 10 min walk across the bridge. It's a small, quiet, family run hotel with outstandingly helpful staff. Thoroughly recommended.
