The hotel is located on a small beautiful beach that looks almost private although not easy to swim due to rocks and corals. Unfortunately we were given an apartment on the ground floor with trees hiding the sea view and quite dark so it is recommended to get the higher floors apartments or the rooms in the main building, Old hotel that could be wonderful with some renovation and very inconfortable bées but the actual price is reasonable for prime beach location in Okinawa. Towels not provided but rented for 150.-yen. Staff friendly.

Prime location

Nice room with sea view 2m from the beach. A little old but very clean but breakfast, BBQ and service are awesome. Will definitely go there for the next trip in Okinawa.

wonderful place to stay

We stayed here in July 2019 and it was a great spot to explore the northern part of Okinawa. 5 mins up the road on Sesoku Island is the beautiful Sesoku beach, amazing especially for beautiful sunsets. Motobu is close for food and shops and Nago is only a short ride too. it was about 15-20 mins to the Aquarium, which we can highly recommend. We took the day to drive up to Cape Hedo and around the top of the island, which was lovely. Stopped to walk to waterfalls along the way. Not too much traffic up this end of the island at that time, very relaxing.

Great time! This hotel was of the budget variety, but the position was perfect with a car. We thought it was great!

Every things good but many bugs. Have a great memory on super beautiful sunset.The beachside BBQ dinner was good (Need Booking).

It's a nice hotel by the sea and near aquarium.
Ocean view is excellent. You can reach out the beach outside the rooms. 
The room is small but clean. Japanese style is good.
Unfortunately we didn't book the barbecue in advance so we miss the barbecue with the spectacular sunset view.

景觀很好. 自由度大. 自駕人仕方便. It's not like a hotel but we really love there.

On the beach LUE hotel is a nice hotel for enjoy the beach environment as its location is right behind the beach. Hotel service is very good. Facilities is a little bit old which is understandable and acceptable. The restaurant is a nice place that can watching the beach. Parking place just next to the hotel. Without private car, you have to get there by bus which seems difficult. It only takes around 20 minutes to reach Nago city or Ocean Park.

Nice beach hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at "On the Beach Lue." There are hotel rooms available, but we rented one of the condo units apart from the restaurant for a three night stay.  I'm not sure what the hotel rooms are like, but they were booked solid while we were there.  It was quiet and we could enjoy the sound of the waves putting us to sleep at night.

The condominium units are fairly sparse & utilitarian, but let's face it - you're not in Okinawa to sit in your hotel room!  You can expect two beds, a tatami room with extra futons, a kitchenette with stovetop and fridge, a small balcony, air conditioning, and a bathroom with shower and bathtub.  There's a little grocery store with fresh veggies and food almost directly across the street and a larger one about a 5 minute drive away if you'd like to buy and cook your own meals. Or, you can head over to the restaurant and eat there.  We opted for the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet in the morning as part of our package.  There was a decent assortment of food and they regularly restocked the stuff that was getting low.

There was no Wi-Fi, but there was a laptop computer in the restaurant area that you can use during restaurant hours if you don't mind standing up by a small counter while you 'connect with the world.'

There is a coin laundry facility next to the condo unit.  You have to go to the front desk in the restaurant and book it or get the key.  They have some extra clotheslines available if you want to dry your stuff out on your balcony.

The best part about this place, is just enjoying the beach and swimming in the water.  The restaurant and condominium side are sort of separated by a big rock on the beach and we didn't see many of the people from the hotel units coming over to the condo side.  It is virtually a private beach!  You can drive to a public beach were you might get a little bit finer sand, but you'll have to try and find a parking spot, and then have to stake out a piece of beach amongst the hundreds of other people.  My advice: just enjoy this beach out front! The swimming is good - we were able to see a wide variety of fish snorkeling around the reef; and the sunset and night walks along the beach were great!

As far as things to do... 

- The hotel has a "Yado Kari" (Hermit Crab) Park in front of it.  Basically a series of rocks and driftwood where kids (and adults) can watch hermit crabs crawl around.  There's also a big frame out front that you can hold up and take pictures in.
- There are a couple pay activities such as "salt making" where you can boil away sea water to make salt and a tabletop BBQ you can do for a supper if you like.
- Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is not far away.  We did the aquarium and dolphin shows one day, and then enjoyed the free park area on the second day.
- There's also some sea-do outfit operating nearby that rented sea-dos or pulled people around in a giant inflatable couch.

Enjoy the beach!

This far away from the town and the convenience shop. However, it nearby the beach. Really a beautiful view here. I only stay one night here. If you like to stay nearby the beach, this may a good choice.
