I really enjoyed my stay at the Ressha house, it's nice and close to the ski resort, plenty of great food options a stones throw away! Small simple rooms, shred bathrooms like most Pensions. Best price in town and great location. You are not booking into a 5 star hotel so don't have the same expectations. The owner was friendly and helpful, his English was quite good and was able to answer any questions we had. I'm heading back there again next February, can't wait!

Great pension house. Clean, tidy and cozy. Was about a 10-15 min walk to the gondala and the slopes, so ideal location. Family friendly. Had a great onsen and facilities for making toasties and heating up food. Comfortable beds, even the Japanese style ones were good. 

Good value for money, would definitely recommend.

place is abt 10m walk from hotel naturwald bus stop.

clean beds, toilets, common showers and value for money. 

kettle in room and microwave plus fridge in common area. washing machine also avail.

Furano ski area and Lawson's is 10 min walk from hotel.

small negatives is that the communal baths are only open from 0600-0800 then 1600-2300 and check out time is super early @ 0930.

otherwise its quite alright



This hotel give low price, very large room for 2 people and parking place in front of house but no air-conditioner. This is not actually dislike but the restroom is separate floor if your is on 2nd floor.

Pefect spot for a mid winter snow trip

Low price with large room and japanese style bathroom

Location - If you're on a ski trip, this is an ok place to stay. Furano has 2 ski areas; the further and more crowded area near NEW Furano Prince Hotel, and another smaller and quieter one at Furano Prince Hotel (Kitanomine Area). This pension house is near to the latter. You have to take a bus from JR Furano station and stop and Kisen bus stop, and an additional 5 minute walk will bring you to the house.

Service - The owner lives beside. And the Ojiisan who usually tends the reception has good english, however we feel that he's quite impersonal with the service. He's ok in general, but perhaps quite cold in person. Probably because the house is always filled with only tourists.

Room - it's basically a 2-floor house with several rooms. There is only shared bathroom/onsen bathtub for showering purpose in the basement. Toilets are also shared. So if you're not comfortable with showering with other people, then I suggest you look somewhere else. Room itself is ok, quite old and needs of renovation, though still acceptable. Heater is ok during winter, not as strong as wanted. You have to rent towel at one time charge of 100Y, and you have to pay to even watch TV. what? And room is not really sound-proof. The wooden floor creaks, and you will be able to hear your neighbours walking along the corridor and opening doors.

Facilities - shared lounge area with microwave. Laundry and Dryer machines available in the basement as well. Parking is available free of charge. Wi-Fi is weak, though sometimes ok to just message and do simple browsing.

Ok but Cold Service.

近隣に富良野スキー場があるのでそこで安く長期間滞在したい人にはおすすめですが、ゲレンデまではそれなりに歩きます。

This hotel is near by the Kitanomine zone of Furano ski resort. So I can recommend this hotel for those who want to stay long with low hotel bill.
However this hotel is a little far from the Kitanomine gondola of Furano ski  resort . You need to walk for some minutes to reach the gondola.

良くも悪くも外国人向けの宿

Very old mattresses, very old pillow (they are not expensive to replace every 10 years). 

The Sento was OK but water not so hot, and it needed cleaning. 

This is a nice place to stay, large rooms, helpful staff, lounge area. 

It is a pity that the ownders ruin it by not replacing old and uncomfortable bedding.

Nice hotel needs work

Distance from ski slope - ok, a nice walk up the road, good for warming up.
Distance from Furano town centre - cant really walk, you can but takes 20-15 mins.
Some restaurants and bars near by.
Rooms - there were 4 of us and the room just fit 4 futons with a small coffee table and an ancient small tv in the corner which we never used.
Shared bathroom - typical Japanese style and it's ok but restrict using hours. (no idea why)
Dry room - very basic
Dinner - never tried.
Breakfast - totally shocking and SO bad for Japanese standard and charged us 800 yen each and don't even have rice!!! One fried egg, some cooked broccoli and bacon bits, two types of salad straight from the supermarket shelf, one type of simple bread and a toaster, 2 types of juice which is just sweetened coloured water, milk and cereal. Coffee taste like...........>< and you have to look for it cos the owner opened the door and just left.
We ordered the breakfast at 8 and we got there at 8 and the plate with food were already on the table and everything was cold.

Don't expect the owner to smile at you.
Just stay if you want a low budget place, just don't eat breakfast there.

Really basic, simple, dont expect anything, not even close to normal Japanese standard.
