The pictures are not good. The rooms are spacious, very nice decorated and the bathroom is modern.

We looked for a place where we could put our bikes. That was quickly fixen.

Friendly hosts!

In the center of Triest. A bit busy and probably warm in summer. There is no airco. But that’s what you can expect with the price.

Nice hotel!!!

The hotel is a good base to go around Trieste. The rooms are nice, spacious and colourful. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had an amazing night sleep. The cost of the room was not that expensive considering the time of the year I went. I will definitely go back there.

Easy Reach to the main attractions

Hotel or hostel is correct for sleep and not for anything else,
It is clean but not aseptic , and exelent for urban noise enthusiasts.
There are no breakfest but hotel is in center of town so a lot of caffeteries are close to him.

The hotel is straight forward to find from the train/bus station - about 15 mins walk. The owners couldn't speak any English, but really not a problem at all. check in/out was swift, no breakfast but there was a coffee machine and Cafe Mozart was just downstairs and round the corner. 

The room was large, bed, wardrobe etc all modern and well appointed (room 10). Huge, comfortable bed.The traffic was quite loud, but we got used to it - some may not. The hotel is within minuites of all the main attractions of Trieste, which is absolutly deightful. For the money (one of the least expensive without crossing into hostels) I would deffinatly stay here again!

Nice hotel

Hotel Brioni is a one star situated just off the main drag of V. Giosue Carducci so traffic can be noticeable even with closed windows (traffic lights by the hotel as well). The building is old but the hotel rooms have modern furniture, lighting and bathroom fittings (the shower will blow away any morning cobwebs!). There isn't a communal area or any hot drink making facilities but the room mini fridge provided me with nice cool Peroni beer (or two) when needed after a day in the Italian sun. All linen was spotless, bed was comfortable, there were spare blankets and pillow in the large wardrobe. The hotel booking site I used gave a true description so I knew what to expect and there were no hidden surprises. Everybody I met was friendly and helpful (inc. a Frenchman and a couple of German backpackers) and even Italians who didn't speak any English managed universal sign language. Traffic in Trieste is hellish, parking is a lottery, side streets narrow and choked and don't even mention scooters and motorbikes! The Brioni one star ticked a lot of boxes and I had no complaints and would cheerfully stay there again.
