Although it is quite difficult to find, at the end of an unpaved road without many signs, it is a good destination for enjoying the green in the open air in summer. During the rest of the year it is still OK, if you are looking for a family-oriented environment, with a simple menu at reasonable prices. The specialties are those ones of the Trieste surroundings, i.e., simple items with very genuine ingredients.

We happened upon this property whilst on our way to Croatia.  We arrived at dusk, without a booking, initial thoughts were that it wasn't very inviting mainly due to bumpy track you need to drive on to access the property.  Even though it was late in June there didn't appear to be any/many guests and the owner quickly found us a room.  It was spacious though spartan, bathroom was very big, though hot water was a major issue, the lack of it!   We ate at the restaurant, food was excellent we had a platter of cold cuts and cheese, bread, grilled meats and salad.  There were no choices it was that or nothing, but we were more than happy to have whatever was available after a long day on the road.  Unfortunately we shared the restaurant with a group of about 20 people whose children were running around all over the place and making excessive amounts of noise - it really spoilt what would have otherwise been a great meal.  Breakfast was nothing special.  If I was in the area again I think I would stay elsewhere.
