Hotel Bologna

Charming, modest, family run hotel with a very responsive, friendly, and thoughtful staff! They helped us park our car and exit which was not easy as the property is within the ZTL and the driveway to the parking area is very narrow that you must retract your side mirrors. But once you park, the car is securely locked behind iron gates and further protected with security cameras - so it is well worth the effort! Just keep in mind only small cars will fit. (We had a small Renault Megane and just fit through the alley, so double check with the property first!) Please note that parking is also €15 per day extra. The location couldn’t be better! Right in the center of the historic district, just steps from the Palazzo Reale and the breathtaking Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato!! The hotel also gave us a map of the area and highlighted all the important sites and gave us a great traditional restaurant recommendation, which was really helpful since we arrived just before 8pm and many kitchens close around 9:30pm. I only wish they offered breakfast, but they informed us that it is being planned for the future. Plenty of great places to eat nearby! A great choice when visiting Genova!
