This was both mine and my friends first time in Sicily so we had no idea what to expect. But what a delightful surprise this hotel was. The staff were all incredibly friendly, super helpful and always went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We had drinks nearly every night at the beautiful terrace bar which has an amazing view over the ocean and on our last night, we had dinner there as well which was fantastic! There was live music and the food was incredible!The room was lovely. We had two single beds in a room that over looked the bar next door and the ocean so we were very lucky. Being that close to the bar next door was a concern but the noise wasnt bad at all, we slept well every night! Plenty of space in our room, bathroom was nice and plenty of wardrobe space. My only suggestion would be to have some chairs out on the balcony so people can soak in that view!! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Absolute gem of a hotel

It’s a nice hotel that is kept clean. The staff are nice and it’s on the sea front but no actual beach. Breakfast has a good variety but it’s exactly the same everyday so if you are staying for more than two days it’s a bit boring. No parking but we found plenty of street parking or you can pay to park. Water in the room is not complimentary so better to buy your own. Also, no iron! This was frustrating as the ironing service is by the item and costly. It’s quite a sleepy area where everything closes quite early. Centre is around 10/15 mins drive away and it’s nice and lively.

We were delighted with the quality, comfort and service within the hotel, clearly the most prestigious in the area. 
The only downside was the closing of the sun terrace due to the fact it was the end of the season. 
Beyond this the hotel and restaurant were great, breakfast choices were very good. 
We ate at the restaurant one evening having a most excellent tasting menu. 

Lovely hotel - highly recommended 

First time visiting Sicily and the hotel reception/reservations for very nice in preparing my room for an early check-in and hotel/airport transfers. Unfortunately, after specifically asking for a quiet room, they gave me a nice room, but over a very  loud bar that plays loud music until 12 in the morning. Being very tired my first day, unable to take a nap and the 3 nights, impossible to go to sleep before 12:30 in the morning making it difficult to get up at 6:30 am to go on excursions, too tired to really enjoy. The reception called the bar to lower the music and they just put it louder. There were only 4 people in the bar and they still played the music extremely loud. 
Another misinformation is reception specified that it would be about 20 minutes and €30 for a taxi each way to Catania, which wasn't the case. The morning transfer could take over an hour because of traffic and cost up to €70, so I spent a lot more money on taxis than expected. 
There was also a lot of mold on the shower doors, holes in the towels and marks on the walls/curtains. 
I didn't eat at the restaurant because I didn't really like the touristy menu and the restaurants up the street. 5 minute walk, were really good and less expensive (fresh fish, catch of the day).
Overall nice hotel, but maybe for a night on the way to somewhere, not a long term stay in you need to go to Catania for excursions, most companies won't pick up at the hotel (didn't know that either). Parking is also an issue, reason for not renting a car. Otherwise, great time visiting Sicily!

Hotel has a wonderful view and is close to a lot of good restaurants, excellent location, the room is very spacious and comfortable I do recommend!!!

Great stay staff was always very attentive and went out of their way to make sure our stay was just perfect. This was our first time at this property but we look forward to return.Restaurant option at walking distance are all excellent.

The service at this hotel was excellent. A special thanks goes to whole team of receptionists, with Sylvia in particular. They really fulfilled all our wishes.Moreover, the hotel has an excellent location and an excellent restaurant. A separate reserved parking can be provided and is recommended. Great place to stay and would absolutely come back again.

Moder Hotel facing the sea offered good service. Our room was comfortable with everything you need to have for couple of nights. Very good service at the Hotel Bar. Interesting interior, quite modern style. Perfect location.
