Kibbutz Dor Holiday Village

We try to come for a couple-few days every year after the summer crowds and before autumn makes the beach and sea less inviting. Although the prices are a bit high for what you get (a cement igloo painted white or a cramped two storey cottage) in comparison to rooms in the holiday village down the way on the neighboring kibbutz, you cannot beat the immediate access to the shore right on the other side of the fence from the lawns surounding all of the accommodations -- whereas the kibbutz holiday village is quite a walk from the beach and their hotel on the beach is very pricey indeed. Bottom line: we keep coming back here as do some of the other guests whom we have gotten to know over the past few years since we choose the same time period to come. Vacation friendships. The grand children all find playmates.
