Lovely big houses with good sized bedrooms one of which was ensuite but silly things really let them down:
3 toilets in the house, 2 of the seats were broken
Dishwasher leaked
Only 1 working light bulb in the kitchen
Broken washing machine
Only half a dozen pegs for the clothes line

Pluses are the location, shirt walk from the town and the supermarket. Kenmare itself is a great place so if you don't mind some rough edges this is one of the cheaper options. 

So much potential 

The sunnyhill holiday homes are just under 1km from the centre of Kenmare. The rooms are large, 3 really big bedrooms. The caretaker Alex, was helpful and did everything that we asked. He isnt the smilest fella but then again he was the caretaker and not my new best friend. 
They are worth the price if you can get them at the many discounts availabale thru the dream ireland website. 
We had a lovely time, very quiet spot with a nice supervalu shop just 200yards away. Which has a nice little playground attached. 
My view is worth it but make sure you get a discount and like all holiday homes check for leaks, faulty locks and all other stuff that may interfere with your holiday. We had a good time in a nice house.

Nice big house, in a good location

Stayed in the holiday homes for a weekend in october. The Supervisor rang me early on our day of arrival to get our arrival time, I told him we would be there for 6pm.When we arrived a 6pm,we were left waiting for 15 minutes before he arrived.The house we were given did not have the heating on for us.I was asked for €200 cash deposit, even though I had paid in full in advance.I would have preferred to use my credit card for the security depoist for security reason but was refused.In the end I had to give a €100 cash deposit and was not given any form of receipt when I asked for one.Upon closer inspection of the house one of the single beds was broken, part of the stairs was broken,the suite of furniture in the sitting room was badly stained and the curtain in the kitchen was also badly stained.We rang the Dream Ireland office in Kenmare to report this damage as we feared that we would be charged for this upon  checkout and also to  be moved to another house as we were not happy with the house and did not feel the Supervisor who greeted us upon arrival was friendly or helpful or trustworthy.Again we waited another fifteen minuted before he came back to move us to another house.I had to ask again for my receipt for the security deposit which I did eventually get.I felt it was a bit of a joke to be asking for cash security deposit for a house that wasn't up to scratch itself. All in all we arrived ther at 6pm it wasn't until quater to eight before we got settled.The location of the houses are good, but the supervisor who also cleans these house has really let dream ireland down on our stay.It was not a busy weekend for these house as there was only two houses rented this weekend,how we were checked into a house with a broken bed coupled with the cash deposit and tryin to avoid  giving a receipt is all a bit suspect for me...

houses are very close to town within walking distance in a quiet area, house was clean when we arrived, stayed for two nights with 6 friends, before we left on the monday morning we cleaned the house from top to bottom leaving it in the same state we found it, when leaving monday morn we were told we had to pay 32euro  for cleaning the house, think this is a bit unfair as the house was left in the condition we got it, when we questioned the reason behind the cleaning cost we got no answer
