Tempatnya rindang dan cocok untuk yang suka ketenangan, gw dan temen2 ngerasa nemuin kedamaian di tengah kota. terutama receptionist dan pelayanannya yang bikin nyaman. bersih dan klasik. as a person who really love history, if i may say, this is really the best place with the price. i love to stay there. i really do. and thanks to miss eta , the kind recepsionist.

Great Place

Clean and homey.. staff are kind and so cooperate with the visitors.. good job to management. We arrived in yogyakarta at 6AM and staff kindly allow us to had early check in at 9AM. Very thankful for that.

The guest houst is 2km straight forward from yogya station and malioboro street through sangaji street, tugu yogya and margo utomo street. But i wont write review about the guest house room. Because i rented a whole house and located behind the guest house..

We rented a house with 3 bedroom, 2 bath room and kitchen also.. kitchenery are available with refrigerator, stove and all.. but you have to walk down the alley to reach main road and quite far. But that's no problem because i drive a car to go there. And there's cars and motorcycle available for rent too..

Rent homestay

I booked the crhysant single room (approx. 2m x 3m) with private bathroom (approx. 1m x 2m) via telephone for IDR148/night. You can't find this room type when booking online. If you tend to pray in the bedroom but you feel it's not that spacy, don't worry. The guesthouse have a musholla. In this room type, you'll get local tv, a fan (a bit noisy), free wifi, no blanket. But, I was afraid to bother my neighbour since there was a small ventilation on the wall that we shared together. In this guesthouse you can take mineral water and make tea or coffee as you like. Near the guesthouse you can find a 24 hours convenience store and one TransJogja bus stops each side. Overall, I just love the ambience of this guesthouse.

strategic place & best price single bedroom with bathroom

We booked Ndalem Suratin because we had an event almost directly across the street.  Adequate is the best I could say. They were off to a bad start when we heard a knock on our door immediately after checking in.  The receptionist said she had forgotten to charge us the credit card fee for using a credit card.  She wanted another 65.000 RP.  After some discussion, with me stating we had booked online with the site saying the fee included all charges, and giving a credit card number online, and with her just stating rules were rules, I finally said, OK, cancel the charge.  I will pay cash.  At that point she said, no need, there would be no credit card charge.   Good: Water cooler with hot and chilled water, unlimited coffee and tea, good air con, large room.  Bad:  No room safe, no room service (stayed 5 days - not once), thin towels, no room phone, no fridge, no tissues (only amenities were limited shampoo and hand soap), hot water ran out before finishing shower.  Breakfast was very bad.  The first day was one egg and french fries.  No juice or coffee.  We did have unlimited coffee and tea in the room.  The second day breakfast was three slices of untoasted white bread.  A small amount of jelly.  No butter.  The end.  Nothing else.  I noticed other guests had a bowel of something (turned out to be an unappetizing looking chicken soup) and a plate with tempe and rice.  When I was asked about only three slices of bread, I was told they were required to serve western food to westerners.  I said why didn't you ask?  Also, my companion was Indonesian, but he received the same fare.  The acoustics in the room are terrible.  We often heart talking outside the room until midnight, and every morning there was loud talking starting between 5:30 and 6:30 A.M.  The lighting was very bad.  I had to shave by feel.  There was only one waste basket, located in the toilet.  If we had trash, we had to go to the toilet.  The internet signal was weak in our room, and very slow in areas where the signal was better.  We mostly used the internet from the very nice bakery next door, where we also finally had breakfast the final day.  There were probably about 20 rooms, Javanese style, single floor, only one sheet, but a clean comforter.  The temperature on the thermostat had been scrapped off (not a real problem), and the curtains were fairly thin, but since the windows were western facing, also not a major problem.  Their brochure shows 6 price ranges, from 118.000 RP to 414.000 RP, plus a family room for 4 or more.  We had the last available room, which was the 414.000 room.  The breakfast might seem adequate if one were paying 118.000, but breakfast was not included until the prices were up to 218.000.  If our room had been under 200.000, I would have said "What a bargain .. 5 stars".  If under 300.000, I would give 4 stars.  If under 400.000, I would give 3 stars.  For what we paid ... 2 stars.  No bar or restaurant on premises.

nice place to stay, not far away from The heart of Jogjakarta, feels like home, and this place full of history, This place is not just a homestay, this place has a history because the house belongs to the Mr. Suratin, the father of Indonesian football
