Umakayu Bali

I had such a wonderful week staying at Umakayu Canggu. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the villas are set amongst a beautifully kept tropical garden with a clean and spacious swimming pool. The villa itself is a traditional wood hut; very beautiful and included a tranquil and private balcony where my delicious breakfast was brought each morning at the requested time. Inside the hut was a giant and very comfortable four post bed, with mosquito net which the staff set up for me each evening. They also sprayed for bugs and mosquito's twice a day and changed all my towels etc. The room was also equipped with air conditioning, tv, mini-fridge, kettle, table and chairs, personal safe, books and a delightful ensuite. The villas are situated next to a rice paddy and a temple. Some nights young people were practicing their traditional music till late at the temple and the workers on the rice field would start calling and making noise to ward off birds from around 6am. This didn't bother me at all, though I did wear earplugs each night, which I recommend. Bali is quite a noisy place in general so I wasn't perturbed. I highly recommend Umakayu Canggu as a peaceful and beautiful place to enjoy Bali from. It is around 30mins walk from te beach or 3mins by car or motorbike. Lots of cafes/ restaurants and shops nearby, and medical center just down the road.
