Sanskriti Paying Guest House

We booked a cheaper room, but as this had no outside window, we upgraded to the larger one. This room was incredibly clean, had direct access to a nice, almost private terrace, at night it was silent and had several working power sockets. Our private bathroom was on the other side of the corridor, though. You can buy bottled water in-house.

First of all the its located in a very quite neighborhood in varanasi, and vary close to tha ganga river.
From the moment we arrived we felt like home, and the family also have tour guide which is a big extra. He knows everything about varanasi and have a very good english.The room 
 also very nice and we had a balkony
And a roof top that is an amazing view point for the gangas

Sanskriti Guesthouse is a spot clean and family run place just 5 minutes walking distance from famous Assi Ghat.Deepak and his kind wife and children will treat you just like a family member. Deepaks wife will cook you a authentic Indian breakfast which you can enjoy on their peaceful terrace. Riksha drives from and to the train station are also organized if you ask. We came as guests and left as friends. Thank you for everything Deepak Ji!!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Sanskriti Guest House.  Not only was it relatively close to both Assi Ghat and Lankar, but moreover, it was a joy to interact with the dear family.  The father is a teacher, the mom is trained as a doctor, and the young, outgoing teens--with whom I had fun conversations-- are both in high school, eager to practice English, and like to laugh.  They also were respectful of my privacy, so it was nice to have a balance between both social- and quiet-time.  In terms of the space, all rented rooms were on the bottom floor, which was a relief, given the rising temps outside.  All rooms also had attached bathrooms with plentiful hot water.   My room was painted with a soft yellow color and seemed quite comfortable and aesthetically pleasant.  Other rooms had a different decor, if that means something for you.;  I did hear other guests say they had mosquitos, but it was not a big problem for my room.  The owners offer mosquito-repellent.  The rooftop additionally had plenty of yoga-space if one desired to stretch with a view.  I also appreciated the fact that, although the building was locked and completely secure at night, it was also possible to easily unlock the door and walk about if one wanted to.  There was no roll-down gate, keeping people inside until the owner woke up.  Overall, this was perfect place for me, as a solo traveler.  If you are with another or even children, I'd recommend their largest room on the far Western side of the building--it's the most spacious and has AC.

This is one of the cleanest guesthouse in this area.If you are looking for a nice room then this will be the best place you will find near assi ghat ,especally you like family sphäre.The family is very kindly an helpfull.
