Jewel Kongchen Retreat & Spa

Wonderful location. You can see snow on the hills all around you. A waterfalls passing by.....You would love to spend couple of days here. From the balcony you can see the 1st sunlight falling on the snowy peaks - wonderful sight.
Rooms have TV and quite decent. Service and food are good. Though these hardly matter if you are a nature lover.

We had gone through Dikcha tours and travels of gangtok for the north sikkim tour and we stayed in this hotel for two nights (27-sep-2016 to 29-sep-2016) . The rooms were big and spacious , you get hot water all the time .We had to pay extra 350 rupees for the room heater and it is optional . 

The place is looked after by 3 folks (Abhijeet or abhishek is the main guy )and the service by them was very good .we used to get food time to time and the hotel has beautiful views of lachung valley.

Lachung Retreat - a place in nature

Relaxed Stay

The rooms have good wooden flooring and are spacious with balcony and amazing view but following points make it average
a) Walls are not sound proof,
b) very slow geyser(30min for 15 litres)
c) Oily and limited food, reeking of garlic
d) Slow service/cold food especially if you come late. 
e) Air gaps in the doors made the room colder, needing room heater charged at Rs 300

This is probably par for 'standard hotels' but anyone coming to Sikkim can probably afford better. Tell your tour operator to book a better category hotel without the above issue

Ok service/Cold rooms/poor hot water and average food

The hotel is nicely located with beautiful view of snow clad mountains. Little out of the main town of Lachung, but the hotel gives AP so hardly one would require to go to the town. The rooms are beautiful with wood theme and the washrooms clean. Food served is also very fresh and nice. They take care of your preference of veg / non veg. 
One concern remains of flies in the area. They are jumbo ones and we found one in our dal, one in the rice and one in the water jug. The room also had large and small insects, which we had a tough with before going to sleep, also with the incense stick a few were kept out. 

The tea served in this hotel is lovely. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Hotel with beautiful view of snow clad mountains

It is more like a glorified lodge. OK place to sleep for one night
Pros :
1. The hotel is new
2. The balcony has a nice view of the mountains all around
3. Bathroom is good with good fittings and geyser. Towels and soap was provided.
4. Homely freshly cooked veg meals. Only poha and bread butter for breakfast!
5. The staff are jovial and helpful

Cons :
1. The surrounding of the building is unfinished with lot of building materials all  
     around. Totally unimpressive facade. No boundary wall. Don't feel like a hotel.
2. The room has a musty smell
3. Dustbin carried the leftovers and I doubt if regular cleaning of room is done!
4. Room has only one bed and a side table. No place to store luggage. On request 
    some plastic chairs were provided 
5. TV was not working and it was known to them

More like a glorified Lodge

We stayed in Mystic Lachung Resorts, Lachung for 2 nights as part of the package of SOTC. 

Positives: 
1.	Nice People.
2.	Good view
3.	Food very good but limited varieties.
4.	Breakfast is from 0800 AM.
Issues:
1.	Rooms are not up to the mark.
2.	Wooden flooring needs refurbishing.
3.	No Wi Fi
4.	No TV 
5.	Unclean Bathrooms.
6.	Room heaters are a MUST in this area. No heaters provided.
7.	No Lifts.
8.	Difficult place to locate. Hotel Needs to provide URL link to guests and drivers. 
9.	No chairs in the rooms.

Very Peaceful Location

Very bad hotel. No service at all. No WIFI. No TV. 
Don't go to this hotel. Ghatiya hotel. They are not giving breakfast. They know that people go in the morning for zero point still they are not providing breakfast in the morning.

Faultu hotel of lachung,don't  go to this hotel,all hotel staff are cheater and drinker not safe for family ..manager of this hotel behave very badly with all tourist, rooms are so pathetic and sticky....

Kachra (bakvas) hotel

This hotel is very very bad I have experience in my life so guys please don't think to go to this hotel,totaly rubbish hotel. No staff for room service no hot water in bathroom.manager is very rood so don't go to this hotel
