We are a couple from Israel, stayed for 3 nights in the hotel.
The hosts are amazing! Such nice and kind people. The room is great and the place is quiet and chill, we really enjoyed. 
Highly recommended :) 

3 nights in Long Island Hotel

Wonderful place, bed was large and comfy, hot water was excellent. Breakfast was delicious every day, especially the eggs. Lovely family that run the place, the woman who served us most was very accomodating, especially when I was taken ill. Her uncle also knows a lot about the place and always offers advice with a smile. There aren't many rooms so it had a very small bread and breakfast feel. Would wholeheartedly reccommend to anyone staying in Darjeeling

Wonderful stay in this small, welcoming and warm hotel

Awesome hotel with awesome location and view.
The staffs were very cooperative and helpful in guiding the routes and shops near to the hotel.
I truly loved the owner of the hotel.
They are so nice and humble people and caring too.
For my next visit too I will prefer the same hotel again.
Thanks for such an amazing experience.

Amazing experience

This hotel is situated is at the end of Zakir Hussain road on top of the hill. One can get the mesmerising view of Kanchanjunga peak as well as of Darjeeling from its rooftop. The rooms are spacious. Washrooms are well equipped with all modern amenities. Owner & his wife are amazing personalities. I spent all my early mornings at its rooftop looking at Kanchanjunga as it turns red with the sunrise. This hotel is highly recommended to see the best sunrise of Darjeeling town.

We had a memorable experience...we got a room with a terrific view overlooking Mount Kunchenzonga towards the north and Tiger hill clearly visible to the east. Just ten minutes from the famous Chowrasta promenade and tasty homemade food available on preorder. The owners were very cooperative and and friendly
; It was a home away from home!

Home away from home

Booked for one night on booking.com but extended my stay here as it was value for money even though my room had a non western toilet ( apparently the others were booked). Breakfast of toast, eggs and coffee was nice although plenty of nice options in Darjeeling mall area.  Owners were friendly, wifi only available in the lobby / reception area and gave advice on where to go.  Unfortunately their tip on where to stay in Gangtok was a shocker - it was great that they helped but I was out of that hotel as soon as possible after arriving late into Gangtok. The guy in Sonams Kitchen down the road seemed a lot more on the ball with options.  Room was basic but it does face the mountain ranges so if the weather is right you will get a very good view from the comfort of your room or otherwise on the rooftop. It's a bit of a way along Dr. Hussain Rd. ( 5 minutes past Andy's).  

Good budget hotel stay 

Stayed here for 1 night with my family. The place is clean and quite, owners are helpful, beds are OK but prefer softer one. Hot water, wifi during 8am-12pm and 2pm-9pm, tea/coffee service available. If you are lucky, you will have a good view from the room or rooftop. Suggested the owner to arrange credit card payment system. Overall - its a simple and clean place.

Simple, friendly and away from crowd

The room was extremely poor and overpriced. The hotel owner's behavior was also very bad and unprofessional. They even charged more than the menu card for food when we decided to leave the hotel. We also faced severe water problems. Follow my suggestion never visit Darjeeling it's highly overrated place and people's behaviour here is worst. Visit Sikkim instead.

Worst place

The hostel is far from everything and once you are there the family is not welcoming at all. They date only interested in your money. We booked again for when we return from trek and then they told us they gave it to someone else with big smiles and not a word of excuse. 
Moreover the rooms are very humid, the bed is terrible and you have to ask three time to have thé commun bathroom open. For 800 Rs you can expect far more than that. I would recommend any other guest house in the same street. They are plenty, cheaper and better.
