The hostel is in a quiet location by the sea, which is very relaxing, however be prepared to get a rickshaw every time you want to go out and about or have your own transport as it's quite far to walk to Cherai Beach in the heat (nearest place to eat out, 1 hour). I would like to give this a better rating because the guys working there were really, really nice, and the food was delicious, but the problem was they didn't communicate with us enough. We didn't know where to find them in the middle of the night when the power went off in our part of the building. They didn't tell us the whole place had been booked for a massive birthday party until a coach load of people arrived. If they had we would have gone out for dinner that evening... Also not sure if CBL or Booking.com that did this, but it cost us triple the rate per night over new year, including the nights which weren't new year's eve or day. Would have been ok paying the normal room rate. Booking.com reviews look like they have been fixed somehow.

Food was delicious, Mundoli is great chef,flendly;) They have big portions.
Place is really nice and quiet, view for sunset ist perfect! Teras is big,good for practice morning yoga🙏 Place is near airport, with taxi 40 min. I recommend!;)

Delicious food,clean and nice room

We booked to stay here for 3 nights and planned to move on after that. It was such a lovely place we decided to finish our time in India here, we stayed for 9 nights in the end and could easily have stayed longer. 
Muhammed was waiting for us at 3am when we arrived tired and weary, his only concern was to make sure we got settled in happily. That was his approach for the entire time we were there. 
There was fantastic traditional food cooked  each day. The fish were caught within view of the table we would be eating it on later, many of the other ingredients are from the garden, and all of the food is cooked by the  fabulous Kadeeja in her immaculately clean kitchen. I really couldn’t do her cooking justice in a review, if it was in a restaurant in the UK it would cost a fortune. 
The standards of cleanliness are exceptionally high, the beds are comfortable and the view from the terrace looks out to sea and easily filled an evening with a cup of tea or a cold beer.
Muhammed and his other staff did everything they could to ensure we got the most from our stay, there is advice on where to go and how to travel, and great tips about everything from local sights to the local people and culture. 
Sadanandan is the only staff member we haven’t mentioned yet. An ex local fisherman who looks far younger than his 70 years and who was typical of the welcome we received from all of the local people in the area. We both felt very sad to leave these people who made us feel very special. 
Did we mention how fantastic her food is??

Perfect

This nice clean and cosy place is located just beside the sea. One can just sit in the balcony and enjoy the beauty of the waves crashing on the rocks. The host Shahidul is super-friendly and will make you feel at home. Also, he is a great cook..!! I would definitely recommend everyone to at least have one dinner at the lodge. Overall, this place is worth every penny!

A place for experiencing serenity by the sea-shore...!!

Beautiful beach house with a wonderful host. We arranged one Family Get together there. 4 AC rooms and the resort premises are neat & clean, welly maintained. In front of the property a small very beautiful beach. Nice place & good staffs makes our program very beautiful. we enjoyed a lot

Wonderful Beach house, Far away from city

This property is located at the middle of the Vypin island-a jewel of the God's own country.The host Mr.Robert and family were awesome bunch. This lodge lies very close to the beach. The beach is very clean and serene. You can get a spectacular view of the marine line from the terrace.The dining hall also throws a sight of  dancing waves in the middle of the coconut palms. Rooms were located in a separate building.It's a comfortable stay with great food.I must appreciate Mr.Reji-the cook with fantastic culinary skills and he knows the perfect balance of the spices of each unique dish.The food prepared with utmost care and sprinkled with a lot of kindness. The hosts were affable and convivial.

What you can do here: Have a stroll into the little hamlet around this property in the morning.There are many tiny islands which are located in the backwaters like green emerald gems on blue waters.Watch a sunrise through these "Kayal-Backwaters" or soak yourself in morning sun on the beach.Sunset is always very beautiful in the western coast so, do not miss it.

Hosts were gave us a few "to-do" list. We had an opportunity to visit the "Pooram-a ceremonial progression" in the Cherai Shankaranarayana temple. It's an unexpected feast.

Location: This is located just few miles away from the crowded Cherai. It's an ideal location for the people who loves solitude. From Airport, take an Uber/Ola or rent a car.Tap the google maps on your phone. From Cherai- You should take left.Drive till you see the arch of Syed Mohammed Road.Drive through Syed Mohammed road till you have an glimpse on beach.This property is located at the left.We were traveled back to Fort kochi by taxi till the edge of the Vypin then hopped into a Ferry for 2 minutes ride to step into Fort Kochi.
If you leave Edavanakkad in the afternoon then it's good to visit few places in Fort Kochi and could watch Chinese Fishing nets in the sunset. Plan it well.
