The Urban Hotel

I had the pleasure of visiting Bangalore for few days lately. I stayed at The Urban Hotel and must say that I'm very pleased with the service. The staff is really nice and helpful. Athul and Abin were of great help. The restaurant 'Spice Box' is excellent. The hotel is situated on a secondary road next to Manipal Hospital this not a lot of traffic. I recommend The Urban Hotel for your next visit to Bangalore

I got a luxury room in this hotel for rs 2000/day. The room was spacious with study space, oven tea maker etc. The breakfast was basic south indian food and no fruits were served. The hotel is just a 100m away from the old airport road adjacent to Manipal hospital and was very convenient for me

Its a good property with high features and is located in front of Manipal hospital gate. So, a good location. The roof top restaurant is its USP in my view with the natural ambiance, a good spread of breakfast that had great taste. We tried dinner here, which was delicious and pocket friendly. Staff is polite and professional.

Some low areas are, small rooms, little old infrastructure and the bathroom had odor. But it did turn out to be value for money overall.

Rooms are not quite spacious and does not offer better view. Its very near to the manipal hospital. People who came to pay visit to the patient can opt this hotel for easy accessibility, There are few tapparis and restaurants available nearby such as Udupi Park providing good food. They also have in house kitchen called Spice Box providing veg and non-veg food around 150 INR / dish.

Good Hotel, Good Location, Excellent Restaurant

Worth every penny

I am not sure if this would change anything. I would first like to appreciate the price for stay is incredibly low and satisfying, rooms are decent size, elevator working and stair case were clean.check in process was quick and easy, reception employee explained everything and agreed for getting an hour late check out. Now let's talk about quality, I don't know if low budget moto is to compromise on basic quality stay. Still I think if these could be improved and guest deserves for that amount.
1) Room white bedsheet wasn't clean, stains on bedsheet, Bath towels were not stain free and not properly washed. No hand towels. Same liquid wash for hand wash, body wash also not sure if they have been used earlier, no seal in small bottel.
2) Breakfast no staff to greet, bowls were not in place rather unavailable, unavailability of butter, cheese is funny. Water not being served, chair have heavy stains of food it's so unhygienic to sit. Plates are not washed proper. Milk was pure water with white color, it's extremely disappointing. You give either quality or not give at all.
3) bathroom was supposed to have hot water but couldn't get, shower is rusty and broken. Foset is rusty and dirty, extra towel was not clean either it was light black, it was supposed to be white. the light panel fitting in not right. 

Low price Low quality

Room are small but handy, within good price and with reasonable breakfast.location of the hotel excellent. Neat and clean, excellent arrangements for Manipal hospital visitor. Only Bed are too soft, painful for those who has back problem so ask them to change the mattress.

Budget Hotel next to Manipal Hospital

We arrived at this hotel after a previous fabhotel was turned into a quarantine facility. We asked them to notify us in case they turn Prime Urban into a quarantine hotel, they didn't. The first couple of weeks were ok, Ishtiaq was very polite and made sure that everything was taken care of. After they reduced the staff, the hotel became very dirty, there was only one person cleaning and there was a damp smell everywhere. Without Ishtiaq, it was difficult to communicate with the staff as well. When a group of people came and filled the hotel, we asked if it was a quarantine hotel, they said no, that it will never happen since it was in a residential area. After a second group came in and nobody left their rooms, they still denied it. After we saw nurses coming in, we found another hotel to move to, and they finally admited it and tried to convince us to go to another fabhotel stating again that it will never turn into a quarantine facility. The hotel is in front of a hospital, and we don't know what kind of quarantine facility it is. It was difficult to find a hotel during the lockdown and much more doing it last minute. They not only lied to us, they put us at risk.
