Our family stayed at the Valis for 4 nights. The location is a quiet seaside destination only €9 by taxi to Volos (15mins drive). 

Staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are large and well appointed. Wifi isn’t amazing in the rooms but available throughout the resort. Water is provided  in the rooms each day. My recommendation would be to book a room on the reception side of the hotel as it is more updated and away from any noise from the function centre/restaurant. 

The breakfast, although lots of variety was beige at best. Greece has the most amazing bakeries but every pastry or bread on offer at the buffet looked and tasted a day old - we didn’t eat any other meals at the resort because if this as there are some wonderful seafood restaurants only a few steps from the hotel.

Great hotel in a perfect holiday location

We decided to celebrate New Years Eve in Valis Resort. As far as I am concerned it is the best Resort ever. The staff is very polite and smiling. The junior suite very big, two rooms, two bathrooms. Comfortable beds, mattress and pillows. The cleaners experts willing to help. The buffet was large with a variety of flavors. The waitress were polite and helpful. Last but not least the Valis Spa. My husband, daughter and I had an Indian massage. Vaso and Marianna are professionals.

New Years 2022

Agria is the periphery of Volos, so it is a city on one side and a beautiful peninsula on the other. The Valis Resort Hotel is very well organized. I spent ten days in this hotel. Great holiday hotel. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Every recommendation!

Great hotel

A very good choice for a short trip to Volos. This is hotel is situated in Agria - a few kilometers far away from Volos, but it is very clean, modern and well decorated. The view from the rooms to the sea is also unique. Breakfast is excellent!!!!

We stayed in September 2019 on a business trip and we were not disappointed. 

Firstly the hotel is very impressive and It has amazing facilities. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are very polite!! I do emphasize on these two things because for me they are very important when choosing a hotel to stay.

We didn’t get a chance to dine in the restaurant but we did order room service. The room service menu has many options. We ate the burger and Greek salad which were both very tasty. One other thing that also impressed us a lot was that despite the fact that the hotel was very busy, our food arrived really fast! We had trouble opening our wine and called down room service for help, and the waiter arrived within 2 minutes!!! 

The bed and linen are very comfortable and we slept well.

I just want to say congratulations to all the staff for making our stay amazing and we will be returning soon but next time it will be on holiday!

Amazing!!!

A great Hotel overall. Amazing breakfast, for free. Great spacious rooms, with bathtub and many amenities. The bedsheets were really comfortable and the personnel was really polite and helpful during our stay. The only disadvantage may be the location which is relatively far from the city of Volos.

an excellent stay. confy rooms. feels premium.

Stayed 3 nights in order to explore South Pelion area. The rooms were very spacious with a nice comfortable bed and big bathroom. The breakfast buffet was rich and it was served in outdoor space. The hotel was fully booked during our stay but the restaurant staff managed keep all happy. The location is perfect for someone that wants to stay outside of Volos and visit South Pelion areas.

Nice Hotel with Spacious Rooms

I stayed there for three nights. The access is easy and the location is very good. The room was spacious, but the decoration needs to be reconsidered. It is not old-fashioned, just old...
The amenities are rather basic for a 5-star resort hotel. The variety of the breakfast menu was rather poor.
Some indicative issues that could have been easily fixed: 
- Put a curtain / glass at the bathtub
- Provide Clothes airers (racks). In a resort hotel, guest uses a swimming suit and towel often you know...
- Offer at least a bottle of water in the room's fridge
- Set the air-condition in a way that is not threatening the health of visitors

Finally, I was disappointed that we were not asked at any point to show our vaccination certificate or our antigen test for COVID-19. How can one be sure that guests were safe?

A comfort hotel, but don't expect a luxurious resort

Very polite staff. Excellent spot right on the beach and very clean. It is also very close to Volos. The only reason I rate it as five is that in my opinion it is less luxurious than a typical five star hotel. For example the quality of breakfast was low to medium. On the other hand it is value for money. The more luxurious five star hotels are more expensive.

Nice location

There were good aspects here and some not so great. The hotel needs a renovation and our room was tired. It smelt horrible when we opened the door - it was from the drainage. The bath was a jacuzzi - one handle on the tub was broken and when I tried to fill the bath the plug floated away and the water flooded the floor. The shower did not have good pressure. The handle on the cupboard was broken, the safe door did not close properly and it was not possible to open the cupboard properly. Apart from that it was ok, but there was obviously a problem with damp as the wall bordering the bathroom had bubbles in the paint work which had been painted over but the bubbles were still there. We slept very well, nevertheless. Having said all that, the rest of the hotel was fine. The breakfast was excellent, very good coffee, the food we ate there as part of the group was also fairly basic but very tasty. The pool looked lovely although I didn't get around to using it. I can't see myself spending summer holidays there, but it was ok for a weekend.
