Review-

Had an enjoyable stay here for 1 week - August 2023.

2 pools are lovely. 1 with slides - inflatables allowed at both pools & on slides. Other pool is just a pool & deeper water. Plenty of sunbeds at both, no sunbed wars. Put towels out @8.30am at main1. Slides one opens later @9.45am. No issues. Pools are warm. Plenty of umbrellas. Music on at both pools. Alot of chlorine in the pools-cosies turned green!

Room- small - Cleaners in everyday. Hotel is clean. Shower awful, no power to it, goes hot n cold! Aircon ok. Shower door weird, clear obscure glass - no lock! Rooms on 2 levels. Ground/1st floor. Hotel not brilliant for prams, plenty of slopes tho. Everything on different levels!

Staff are all friendly, work hard.

Drinks - daytime - soft drinks - (fizzy)- They r ok - all knock off copies! No pepsi etc. All cheap copies. Some ok, some not! In day NO LONG ALCOHOLIC DRINKS. Only wine/beer!! Normal alcoholic drinks & cocktails start at 6pm until 11pm. Crafty. Never known no normal alcoholic drinks in the day. Ok if you like beer/wine - We didn’t! No straws at this hotel!

Also they say “Peach Schnapps” is an alcoholic drink when in fact its Non alcoholic - Peach schnapps SYRUP 0% Alcohol. Shocking! Its in the Sex on the Beach alcoholic cocktail too!! v v deceiving! So you wait all day to get a long drink & then get given 0% alcoholic drink in it!!! Passed off as alcoholic! Barman said no to my 16yr old daughter having it. Its alcohol. ITS NOT IS IT!!!! CON. Certainly made me doubt were other bottles alcoholic! Coconut syrup non-alcoholic 0% too, which gets added to their cocktails!

Food is ok. Basic in some ways. Always found something. Have had better choice elsewhere before. Breakfast is pancakes & omelette/eggy bread every other day cooked infront of u. Lots of other weird & wonderful choices. No nice full English breakfast here! Yogurt/peaches nice. Toast, cereal etc. No cold milk, only hot milk. Lunch/Dinner - Always a basic salad & always a bolognaise going amongst other hot foods - some weird & wonderful ! Evening meal a few themed nights - Food cooked on hot plate - Kebab 1 night. Italian another -pizza/pasta. Chicken skewers another. Kids corner food only there on an evening. Only get chips on evening no other time. Poor & then the chips are in the kids area only! None on main area. Desserts some are ok. No icecream in restaurant ever, unusual. No microwave.

Icecream on a cone is 4-5pm daily at main pool bar only. Only 1hr, so always a queue! Sometimes run out of flavours & out of cones! No icecream anywhere else bar that 1hr a day. No crisp/nuts/popcorn here as a snack! Snacks at main pool are rubbish, not that you need them with 3 buffet meals!

Entertainment on eve non-existent ! One night greek dancers. That was it! Nothing else! Music on tho. 

Animation Team - rubbish! 1 lad does a quick swim lesson at main pool with a few kids-Thats it! & Apparently aimed at polish kids only!! 
Also on an Evening theres a kids mini disco by the main pool, its v quick.

Recommend you take a pk of cards/uno!!

Bar on eve has a pool table, football table & Air Hockey which was good.  1-2 euro a go.

Table Tennis at pool. 

X3 wifi’s - All free - Work ok ish

Gym £5 a day to use!!

Stray Cats roam about on an eve, a dog once & 2 goats!! 🤷‍♀️ The whole complex has the sound of crickets non-stop. 

There’s a shop attached to the hotel & another shop 2mins walk away. 

Area/resort generally quiet, not much there. Few restaurants/bars/hire a car places…

Enjoyable hol, however, wouldn’t return, at £590 pp. food/drinks would need improving for me, particularly alcoholic long drinks being included in the day & real schnapps-alcoholic version! 🙄.

Nice Stay, Hotel Food/Drink not the best!

I booked this after reading mainly positive reviews and the amenities onsite. Then before I travelled the reviews had got alot more negative and gave me cause for concern. Those concerns were very quickly quelled on arrival. Overall we had a lovely stay and will definitely return. 

Rooms - we stayed in a basic room. They are basic. Next time I would pay extra to stay in a better room. It was ok but a little small, the bathroom in particular. No issues with noise, kept clean, towels changed regularly and air con very effective. 

Food - the best all inclusive food I’ve ever experienced across Europe. Granted, if you’re looking for mass produced fast food and standard all inclusive produce this isn’t the hotel for you. The choice was limited however even as a fussy vegetarian I never struggled to find something to eat and we stayed for two weeks. Fresh Greek salad, tzatziki and local Greek dishes every day were a real treat. The desserts were probably the worst part but if they had made baklava every day I would have been delighted. Maybe ice cream at dinner for the kids would be a nice option too. Good range of themed nights as well. The soft drinks weren’t great, the coke light was hit and miss depending what bar you got it, we bought our own water as the hotel water wasn’t nice but it’s cheap so it didn’t bother wasn’t

Amenities - this is the real sell for me. Never experienced a hotel of this size with so much on site. The gym is great. Yes it’s extra charge to use but it’s basically a private gym and well equipped. The addition of heavier dumbbells would make it perfect. The water park was fantastic. Never busy and kids happy to play in there all day. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. 

Staff - they were all lovely, nothing too much trouble and very friendly and welcoming. 

Location- the village is quiet, there’s not much to do but buses to Lindos/pefkos are cheap and run regularly. Worth a visit. 

Some things of note are that the hotel doesn’t provide beach towels but they will give you a discount on ones at the shop next door. Also the hotel provide a fantastic laundry service for 10 euros for a big bag. Really good deal. 

Overall we had an amazing time and cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend. Amazing place and a few tweaks and it would be perfect.

Amazing!

Upon arriving I was greeted extremely polite by reception. I eas shown the notice board with times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, snack times. Shown to my room the pool bar by the swimming pool the guy running it was very polite. I would like to try and spell his name but would get it wrong. The restaurant staff would go above and beyond to keep the restaurant clean and tidy. I was moved rooms but upgraded. I did lose my key and staff were nice enough to give me a new key for £20 until I found my key. Upon finding it I was refunded. I made many friends while I was there all different nationalities. The bar man Nicolas was very funny qnd very pleasant yo be around. My holiday was fantastic thank you ellia 

Amazing

Okay so I’ll start with the price I paid £581.00 in total so that’s for easyJet flights (good daytime flights) then I booked the all inclusive accommodation through Thomas cook (little tip don’t assume that a package deal is the best value as they rarely are) also you don’t need a rep why pay for that service? Any issues the hotels will sort for you. 

We had 2 separate sleeping areas as was for myself and my 15 year old son we did have an issue with the first room (1414) but spoke to the night guy on the reception (nice guy) who told us to go back to reception first thing which we did and after a little discussion we were put into a much better room ( no extra cost) The pools were good (beer and burger) mini splash park was a good bonus to have access to ( except the miserable barman seriously this guy couldn’t smile 😃even if you paid him! 😆 so he was Mr Happy 😊 all other staff at the hotel were good, young guy working the main pool bar also Nikolas on the evening bar lovely guy and the maids ( Maria) is lovely also and the reception staff and maintenance guys too, The food was very good and I’m well travelled across the Greek islands, Cyprus and Malta I’ve stayed in many 4 star hotels all inclusive and the food at this hotel was as good if not better than some of the 4 stars I’ve stayed in and I’m a vegetarian so if I can find a decent meal here then others should be able to imo also restaurant staff were excellent and good at their jobs, very smiley and friendly only thing I’d say they could improve would be to have ice cream available more than just once a day.

All in all for what we paid for all inclusive at this 3 star hotel it was a bargain and I’d return great staff (except Mr Happy) 😊 good food, the drinks were fine the Fanta lemon was great and the beer wasn’t bad for an all inclusive I was gonna either give 4 or a 5 but as it was such a good deal and I don’t agree with the bad reviews I’m gonna give this hotel a 5 ⭐️ and I hope this review helps I get that we all have our own opinions but this is mine!

Ok, before I start please ignore the minimal poor reviews on here about this hotel. We were a group of two couples and found it to be a very pleasant stay. Staff, cant fault them all very pleasant and helpful, I think you get what you give with all staff on holiday, treat them the way you expect to be treated! Our rooms were at the top of the complex so quite an uphill hike and plenty of steps, perhaps ask for a room closer to the facilities or reception if your not that mobile. Room had what we needed and yes I agree the bed was a little firm but how can they tailor for individual needs! Basic clean most days towels changed once in the week but I'm sure if we asked the cleaner we could have exchanged them at any time. Food, like in most places tends to go a little luke warm but was replaced at regular intervals, never going to keep everyone happy with choice but you certainly will not starve and we all found it to be a good selection particularly with the show cooking offerings. Location is good, this is not a lively resort so great for some relaxation. Plenty of bus's and car / bike hire places if you want to go anywhere else. We all took a trip to Rhodes town on public transport, about 1.5h at around 6 euro each. Two different pool areas which were never overcrowded, quite enough for me to be snoring away on a sunbed anyway. Beach is a short walk away (within 5mins) with free sunbeds and shades, small shop and water sports activities. My opinion is this a great little resort and hotel if you are after a nice relaxing break. May be different in busier seasons but I cant comment on that. Would we go back, YES - definitely.

Hotel was good, racist kids club really spoiled the experience for me and my family.
 
Be prepared for your children to be told that they are not allowed to join in unless they are Polish.

Also be prepared for the tour operator (loveholidays) to do nothing about it and the company in Greece to deny any wrong doing despite clear exclusion of kids based on their nationality.

Racial discrimination in kids club

Spent m first holiday in Greece at the Ellia Hotel. Apartment was good and the staff really could not do enough to help but what badly lets this place down is the quality of the food and drink. The drinks served during the day are not great, full of sugar, wine only from box and beer on tap , few cocktails all wine based mainly made with grenadine which are really sickly - any other drinks of which there is not a great selection including fresh orange juice must be paid for. Snacks in the morning included a few pastries and snacks in the afternoon consisted of stale sandwiches, pastries again, and ice-cream which at times had melted. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner had a repetitive menu and was not of great quality - hot meals were very stodgy and heavy. the chef did cook fresh breakfast in the morning so this was really the highlight of the food each day. After a few days I could no longer eat from this menu and my husband and I dined out incurring additional expenses which we had not budgeted for. The entertainment was limited - the only evening being the Greek evening which was fine. There is also no do not disturb sign so the cleaner could walk into our apartment at any time although I could not fault the service provided by her. I would not stay in this hotel again. 

Great staff but awful food and drink!

The only plus of the hotel is the staff, special thanks to the guys from the reception who tried to help, but what can they do when they don’t have the opportunity, when they work in a garbage dump? The staff are friendly, they are the only ones who earned this hotel 1 star.

1. As I understand it, we were “lucky” with the number. We settled on the first floor, and all the rooms there were in such a state that you wanted to quickly check out and wash yourself. During my first visit to the shower, water came out from the sewer; I realized that this was normal for them, so they came and cleaned it. The rooms are in terrible condition, I am thin and could not wash myself in this narrow shower, the dirty curtain sticks to all parts of my body. We washed in slippers, because... there is dirt and ants all around.

2. On the fourth day, I realized that the shower gel was running out, and for some reason they weren’t adding it, so I went to the reception. And what turned out to be? The hotel's policy is that they only give you toiletries once upon check-in! Is this all inclusive 4 stars??? So don't forget to take your shower gel from home!

And even if you are lucky enough to get into a renovated room...

3. The drinking water is salty, everyone buys water from a nearby store, even the staff doesn’t drink it. Well, it’s also impossible to drink tea and coffee from this water.
The soft drinks are also such that it is impossible to drink, the only alcohol I tried was beer, but you can drink beer.

4. The food is monotonous. Every day there is bolognese, the only fruits are watermelon and orange for breakfast, for breakfast every other day there are pancakes and scrambled eggs. Hot drinks are only available for breakfast in the restaurant; for lunch and dinner, bring them from the bar. The poorest buffet I've ever seen.

5. Don’t be happy with ice cream, it’s disgusting, some kind of powder that you want to wash down.

6. From animation, only “Greek Night” on Wednesdays, and then without “sirtaki”. Am I really in Greece?

7. The sun loungers are in such a state as if they were taken from homeless people in a garbage dump. I didn’t dare put my towel on them.

8. The distance to the beach is not the stated 300m (this is only if you fly), but 550m and 10 minutes through the landfill. Smells like sewer.

9. Parking for several spaces, so if you find yourself in this hotel (I sympathize), rent a car nearby at Carenta, excellent service and your own parking. The car we rented there was a lifesaver, the cleanest place we've had this week. I even had to extend the lease in order to spend less time on this territory; I wanted to go somewhere in the morning, lie on a beautiful beach and have a varied lunch.

The hotel and service are worth a maximum of 2 stars, this is the first time I have seen such horror, but I have decent experience among budget hotels, there is something to compare with.

The fish rots from the head. A very beautiful wrapper, a renovated reception desk, a restaurant, but when you bite into this apple, you feel sick.

The hotel is not cheap, but in fact it is clear that the owner does not invest at all, neither in the food nor in the service.

Avoid, don't spoil your vacation!

Firstly, we read the reviews to booking our holiday to which we thought others were being a little dramatic and picky so took with a pinch of salt - but no, the poor reviews are completely accurate!

It’s a shame because the staff are lovely and friendly but the hotel really lets them down.

Pros
- Staff are generally lovely, albeit the barman in the water park needs to learn how to smile (never have I met someone so miserable and it be such a chore to pour me a drink!). Main bar guy is a legend though!
- Hotel gardens are lovely and traditional
- Water slides were good fun 
- Beautiful scenery and close proximity to the local beach which is stunning (we caught sunset and sunrise here)
- Bus stop directly outside so you can escape easily (only €6 to Old Town and €1.80 to Lindos)

Cons (main points)
- FOOD is atrocious. What can I say, they serve peas, carrots and mixed veg for breakfast! Actually breakfast was probably the ‘nicest’ serving, lunch and dinner was shocking. Everything is dry, tasteless and repetitive. We only stayed for 6 nights and ate out 3 just for something decent to eat! I know it’s all inclusive so didn’t expect much but honestly, it’s shocking - I think I actually lost weight here.
- Drinks aren’t great. The limited juices are horrendous, we stuck to the ‘greasy’ textured coke as it was the only thing that tasted normal. The orange juice is undrinkable so we bought our own. Alcoholic drinks are poor too and cocktails are only served after 6pm, so no sitting by the pool with a nice drink in hand.
- World’s most uncomfortable bed. We’d never experienced such a bad nights sleep, we actually couldn’t wait to go home purely to sleep in a good bed. We only had one pillow each, asked for another on the first day and it never arrived as they have limited supply!
- Cleaners just moved things around, didn’t actually ‘clean’
- No entertainment so it’s very boring through the day and at night. Greek night  on a Wednesday is okay but that’s about it.
- Sun beds are uncomfortable (1st world problem I know) but could overlook if everything was alright
- Cups from the bar are dirty. We would order drinks and they’d have dirt submerged at the bottom - grim!
- No beach towels for sun beds 

If you’re after a boring hotel with poor food then this is the place, if you want a good holiday with above average service, food, nice drinks and amenities then this isn’t it. Probably more 2 star.

Rhodes is lovely though but you probably need to rent a car/quad from here. 

Big let down 

Just back from a wonderful holiday  in this lovely hotel and we are already looking forward to returning next year .
The surroundings are beautiful and always clean and tidy ..Our room was modern with a very good shower and comfy bed ,it was  cleaned daily and towels and bed linen changed frequently .We had the most beautiful views from our balcony .
The elevated dining  area is  also lovely with a choice of eating on a large balcony overlooking  one of the swimming pools , an outside area sheltered by trees or the cooler inside area .
Food is very good, always plentiful and varied We loved the fresh oranges and gorgeous watermelon 
A lovely chef was present at every break fast cooking omelettes, pancakes or fried eggs .At dinner he did things like kebabs, burgers, sautéed veg etc.This in addition to the large buffet ares with hot and cold food.
Best of all were the wonderful staff who work hard to make the holiday perfect and were always welcoming super friendly , really polite and so very helpful .
