Akti Dimis Hotel

We were allocated a room on the ground floor. There is a fridge and kettle in the room along with 2 cups, glasses and spoons. The bathroom is very modern with a powerful shower. All doors and windows have mosquito nets on them which is really good. We had a small patio with a table and chairs and a lovely view of the mountains. The cleaner works extremely hard as rooms as kept spotless, beds are changed frequently and towels seemed to be changed almost every day despite a sign saying otherwise. There is no cleaning on a Sunday. The pool area has plenty of loungers with some reserved for hotel guests only. There is no need to rush down as beds were available throughout the day, even in the middle of August. Some days it felt like we had the pool to ourselves. There are loungers on the beach which are free but you do need to purchase drinks and food. Staff walk around taking orders and delivering said items. The breakfast has a good selection - fresh melon, small pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, omelette, small frankfurters, beans and bacon along with breads so you can vary your choice daily. All staff are friendly and work extremely hard, but especially Spiros who kept us fed and watered during the day and Tasos in the bar at night. Hotel is located on the beachfront about 10 mins walk from the main strip, however there are a couple of bars and restaurants along the way. There is also a supermarket next door which has a good stock of items although it is a bit pricier than the ones in town.
