This is a cosy small hotel in a quiet district of Speyer. Located in a quiet street, it´s quite close to the city centre. I guess getting to the cente might take you five minutes walking or less. The room is ok, good beds, a new-looking bathroom, cleanness everywhere. As this establishment is not big, there´s not a lift, as far as I remember. Although there´s a big public parking lot not very far -maybe 200 metres, just across the small bridge-, it´s subject to payment, so I think it´s worth using the hotel parking lot, which is in a clearing in the end of a small side street, at about 100 metres or so from the establishment. Good breakfast. Its main charm is the familiar atmosphere, the kindness of its staff that makes you feel welcomed and at ease. Good quality-price ratio.

Quiet, welcoming place.

The hotel is not fully manned 24/7 and I was initially concerned that I may not arrive before reception closed at 1900.  Thankfully I did and check in was incredibly easy and efficient.  The room was very large and spacious and it was very warm but a fan was in the room and worked very well.  The location is very good with only a short 7 minute walk into the centre of town.  The Cathedral is impressive as is the welcome from the locals and visitors alike.  There was no safe in the room which would have made the stay slightly easier for me but in the end the town being so friendly didn't make this a problem.  There are plenty of Ice Cream Parlours in town.  The restaurant at the hotel was excellent and the food of a top quality.  The Technik museum in Speyer and the sister museum in Sinsheim were the main reason for my visit and they did not let me down.  Allow 5 or so hours to do each one and that means not seeing everything!!  I used the DB trains to move between the museums and the airport and all were efficient although slight delays did remind me of home.  I cannot thank all the staff enough at the hotel for helping make the stay so special and providing me with German weather for my stay and English weather for the day of my return!!

GOOD LOCATION IN A VERY UNDERESTIMATED TOWN

The hotel is very luxurious and spacious for the price that you pay. The rooms are classy and the bathrooms are nice.

Great hotel

Fantastic stopover, we are cycle touring and the bikes were no problem . Clean comfortable room and good value breakfast within walking distance to the center of speyer . The staff were very helpful and polite, would highly recommend this hotel . 

Cycling friendly

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nothing fancy, like what you get in most Hotels. Reception may not be staffed in the morning so be prepared to pay at breakfast or climb all the stairs again.
