Never met any staff our whole visit. A neighbor across the street helped us check in and gave us the key to our room.

Fantastic location right over the bridge from the Old Town. Parking place nearby was included, which is always great. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a nice en suite bathroom. The breakfast was a typical spread of meats, cheeses, and cereals. Check-in was very smooth and check-out was even easier.

Quiet place in the Old Town

Of course I left the room immediately... The hotel is highly recommended by guests who had stayed there last year, at least. I didnt did my own research before deciding where to stay because I follow a famous booking website and trusted. Upon Check-In, (of course there weren't any staff of the hotel)....during a conversation through the phone because I could not find the reception, I was told that I had to get the key from a cafe approx. 200m away from the hotel given the absence of a reception desk! Frankly, at the cafe, I was asked if I am going to get breakfast...haha (it was so funny! due to an unexpected surprise I faced, I was laughing about). The hotel was certainly one of the older building in town, un-renovated rooms promoting an "alternative" old-fashioned dirty look... The room itself was also really quite dirty and seemed to have been perhaps unused for quite some time; there was a constant damp and mould like smell in the room that gave me a headache after the first five minutes, even I open the window.... Everywhere there was an awful “old-smell” of of antiques, like a cellar or a warehouse, you were smelling a chemical bouquet of old mixed with low cost lemon fragrance air fresheners with a lot of toxins in its formula.....it wasn't possible to stay, nor even to get to sleep no matter how tired you are... I complained and I was assured that I would be refounded at least a part of my payment... unfortunatelly nobody carried out.... Thanks God, there were room available in a nearest hotel where I ended up staying for the rest of my stay. The entire experience ruined my entire mood and I will never be going back to this hotel or recommending it to any of my friends or partners. The room was not at all what I booked and if I had known the state of both the room and the level of the hotel I would have never chosen to stay at this hotel. I would like at least an excuse for my total "adventure"...but I don't believe it!! I feel that I was completely miss-led...

We made reservation after reviewing available hotels on Travelocity. We were traveling with our pet dog so we filtered available listings for being “dog friendly” 
This Hotel was listed as being dog friendly with no mention of any additional charge or fee. We made reservation and paid. When we arrived we checked in no problem.  We were surprised when in the morning a lady we’d never seen before demanded that we pay an additional $15 in “cash” for our pet. We refused. All we ask is that the hotel be transparent on their fees. This Hotel was not transparent. No where on the Hotel’s Travelocity offering was there any mention of a the possibility of a fee or extra charge for a pet. It just said Dog Friendly. It’s not too much to expect that if there’s a extra charge just say so. 

In addition this hotel is uncomfortable. The room had an unusual odor, the beds were uncomfortable and the hotel does not provide free parking. We stayed at 8 properties on our trip and this was definitely below par and one I would not recommend. 

 Watch out!

I had to do a bit of tracking down to get my key from the not yet open Meier restaurant but it was a small matter. I was very pleased with the room, a mix of furnishings from 1900 to 1960 with a flat screen TV thrown in (that somewhat detracted from the overall effect) with a comfy bed and view out over the street. There is indeed a shower and toilet tucked away in a cupboard/closet, which I thought was an eccentric touch. Despite some vintage touches The Wi-Fi was very good.
 The Hotel Lux is basically the floor above a Greek restaurant but it is not too noisy. A small bottle of red wine and water was a pleasant touch, breakfast is served in a room downstairs but I believe you can also eat in the rear yard/garden.
The location is at the quieter end of a fairly busy street with the famous stone bridge at the other end, this makes it only ten minutes from the historic town centre.

I was pleased and bemused.

I don’t tend to call dirty chick ,  neither am one looking for facilities.  This hotel fails on both accounts. Awful night sleep. Felt itchy from entering to leaving. Needless be said k will never stay here again... 

A bad joke 

Nice room.  Good breakfest.  Big bathroom. Close to the city center. Problem with parking during weekend on public space. Room service cleaning every day. Silent place. Key from room  you must take from another place 300 metres far away from hotel.

Good standard

Like sleeping in a medieval chapel  the shower room and toilet were like two confessionals. The room was small and hot but the bed comfortable. 
Breakfast was standard but fine. No reception and staff only seen at breakfast. 

Quirky but basic

This is a quirky place. There is no lobby, no staff. There's a small sign on the building.You call a number when you arrive and run across the street to the coffee shop( same family owns) to get a key. No checkin , no registration or payment .
Room is furnished with antiques and Art Deco design. Extras like hairdryer and toiletries are in a communal cupboard in the hall.
We never saw a soul until the morning when breakfast is served downstairs in a small room off the entrance. It seemed strange but was perfectly quaint and very well located to visiting Regensberg.I recommend this tiny 6 room hotel.
