We loved the whole thing! As soon as we got in, we felt welcome. We slept in Riesling room and we can see the river Mosel and Thurant castle. Food and breakfast was excellent. We sure hope to come back here as soon as possilble. 

– What a beautiful boutique hotel, set overlooking the Moselle, the rooms were immaculate, modern and very airy and had a lovely view of the river and castle.. We ate at the restaurant at night and the food was excellent.  We tried the wines made by the hotel and we couldn't find better in the whole of our trip.  We also opted for breakfast , also excellent. Christina is such a perfect and friendly host, and went out of her way to help us and make us feel so welcome.  We were able to securely park our motorbikes in the external courtyard which was a bonus. We just need to find a way to order the wine to be shipped to the UK :-)

Stayed over en route from Stuttgart to Netherlands. Probably the best accommodation i have stayed in during multiple business trips to Europe. Recently renovated. Rooms are quirky but large and wonderfully finished. 

Reception at the Hotel was great, they knew who I was and were expecting me. Dinner hit the spot and breakfast a great selection. 

Stunning view from bedroom to castle across the river. 

Only small criticism is no coffee in bedroom. Other that that world class and highly recommended. 

Please forget earlier reviews about outdated and the like: This hotel was fully renovated in May 2018. And what a good job they did. The old quirky details of the building were kept, but integrated into a modern minimalist design. Everything is just right. There are many loving details to be found everywhere; the way the bathmat is folded around the shower product, the piece of candy on the pillow, the beautiful Rosenthal dinnerware, the "guten Morgen' hand-written on a piece of slate, the homemade jams.. Dinner was delicious, and so were the wines produced by the owner and his family. Breakfast, too, was fresh and sumptuous. This is a family business that deserves your custom. One minor detail: If you share a room, I hope you and your travel companion get along as there is no dividing wall between bed and bathroom. 

Felt like home, the family was very inviting and worked very hard to make everything perfect, their suggestions for things local to see were great , food and wine was delightful as well as the veranda view was the best in the area. We started our day off with the excellent breakfast and were off to see the sights and come back to that perfect view to just relax and enjoy the Gemütlichkeit.

Had the Jagerschnitzel and it was fantastic. The German potatoes were also very tasty!
The wine was from their own winery and it was very light and fruity:-)


Nice hotel. Great rooms and good breakfast. We had dinner there as well. Very good though the wines were quite dry. The owners work very hard , day and night!! The beds were great shower perfect. You hear the Road outside but it didn t bother us. I would recommend this hotel!!!

What a warm welcome by all members of this super friendly family Fries .Spacious room , beds comfy and bathroom with rainshower very designful . Great breakfast (local specialities) .This house is from 1834 (now for wine degustation) The  new buildings incluse the guesthouse and private parts .
Try their 'Qualiteitsweinen' (quality wines) Bernardus .
Hopefully you will meet Lucas (3 years old)  the next generation of great wine producer (Riesling) 

The romantic Mosel valley with its vineyyards is also another paradise for biking .

We would stay again .

A small friendly, family run hotel.  Adequate continental breakfast eaten on the large front veranda overlooking the river and castle.  A good location for travelling either way along the valley. Evening meals served but we didn't eat here.
