Hotel Albertin 
Do not stay here. Felt extremely unsafe as a group of girls in their 20s travelling. Extremely hostile owner who never engaged in any dialogue with us except shouting at us as we came in and out of the hotel from a side room.  After encountering this troubling behaviour we read the reviews and seen that she had a tendency to scream at people as they left and accuse them of not paying. And this is what happened to us. We had insight to peoples past experiences so we just left the key at the closed off reception with the note which is how we initially collected our key for check in and quickly exited the hotel. The women chased us out of the hotel and started shouting at us. 

No staff visible or present. The reception was never open or any facilities listed on the website available. 

The building was destroyed in graffiti and looked abandoned and inside was not much different. The beds were damp and the carpet was disgusting covered in stains. We had a shattered window in our room and smoke burns on the curtain. The fridge was vile covered in old food and didn’t keep things cold. There was no glasses or mugs in our room.  There was no pillows just empty cases There was poor signage in the hotel no sign posts for rooms exemplify the lack of the facilities. 

The owner like other people experienced banged doors and shouted at night time. Felt very unsafe walking in or out of the building and would not recommend staying here.

Unsafe and disgusting

Small family hotel 20 rooms located in east Berlin where foreigners are not always welcome
We should check in at 2 pm but the room was not ready up to 3 pm
Receptionist agree to let's stay up to 12 :00 when we ck. Out
At the morning 11 Am a reception staff come and knock the door in very bad way and tell us in very rude way to leave but after I explain to him we stay up to 12
It's clean but no internet in the rooms
Tv. Only German channels

 Not again

Stayed here because all the other hotels were fully booked during a large exhibition. Really bad hotel. I arrived late at the hotel and had to rang the door bell 3 times before the let me in. No information about the hotel and its services. The day after I discovered there is not extra service there. Breakfast starts at 8:00 so if you have a early meeting you don't have any chance for a breakfast, There is no wifi so if you need to work, no chance..... 

But what frustated me the most was the way the, I think owner, helped me. He was really rude and did not communicate at all. Only thing he wanted me to do was pay for this bad experience.... 

In short, the worse hotel I stayed and its main reason was the rudeness of the owner, something that suprised me in a really bad way....

Service really really bad!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy, there were no cosmetic issues in any of the rooms I was in whatsoever. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very quiet. We had a triple room which was very spacious with a really nice bathroom which was very clean and tidy as well. The beds were comfortable and there was no noise in the hotel at night at all. We stayed for 2 nights for a city break in Berlin, the tram stops right outside the hotel, and it is about a 20 minute journey to the centre of Berlin. Don't let the distance put you off the journey is a nice one passing through many different sites along the way and it is only 5 euros for a whole day travel (this also includes the tube and buses). The hotel offered a breakfast in the mornings from 8-10pm, it was simple nothing fancy but it was definitely enjoyable. The hotel was amazingly cheap as well, I'd definitely recommend coming here for a city break.

Cheap, friendly and clean.

The hotel is a few steps from the tram station (Number 4 -Alexanderplatz). The room and the bath are spacious. Room was cleaned every day. Around the hotel are groceries and restaurants.  A fridge in the room and a hairdryer in the bath would improve the facilities offer.

Excellent stay for a city break

The hotel was easy to find and it was located close to a tram stop. We got our own parking space (for free) in the backyard so we felt the car was safe. 

We had two rooms (one room for 2, and one room for 3 people) and both of the rooms were clean. The carpets in the rooms was not very delicate and the floors creaked a lot on the rooms and in the hallway. The air in the rooms were not very good and due to one room at the ground floor we limited the opening of the windows of security reasons. 

We we asked to pay our stay at the hotel with cash, a little bit strange in 2016. 

We had one breakfast at the hotel and the breakfast was ok.
