Excellent family holiday - suits all age ranges for children. Very friendly staff. Location is in the mountains but public transport is easily accessible if you don’t have a car for access to beach and surrounding areas for day trips. Highly recommend!!

Eurocamp

We have stayed at Esterel Caravaning for 12 nights in the end of August 23. Our party was 2 adults with 4 kids age range 2-13 

In summary this is a complete caravan site with all the amenities for a great holiday stay. 

We have really enjoyed our holiday as the park facilities are great. 

To start with, the park is located in the beautiful setting. Surrounded by the beautiful views of Esterel mountains with lots of palm trees and other varieties of plants which make it feel and smell like it’s very exotic place. 

There is a grocery store on site which is convenient for the morning bakery runs. It has a good selection of fresh vegetables and also anything else you may want. If you mind the prices, the closest Supermarket is less than 10min drive from the site. 

There is a good range of activities during the day for all age groups starting from a baby club up to adults. The animation team is great and try you to get engaged in different things. 

I would definitely recommend a guided hiking tour with Pasqual. I took my 10 year old boy and he absolutely adored it. Not only we have seen a beautiful views of Esterel but also learned about different local plants, animals and history of the area. The trip was circa 3 hours and absolutely free! 

You can hire equipment for different sports including tennis, mini golf and ping pong by leaving 10 euros deposit fully refunded when you finish. 

There is a nice and cosy bar with a terrace on the pool view. The staff is friendly and everyone on the park communicates in a good English too. 

There are couple of decent restaurants and few snack bars including pizza and other takeaways for those who prefer to dine on the site. 

If you have ability to drive, there are lovely beaches for the sea fun just within 10-25 min drive. Our favourite one was Frejus plage with a daily night craft market across the promenade stretching all the way to Saint Raphael. 

We did a couple of day trips to the iconic places in French Riviera. I you’re planning to visit St Tropez, a stop in a beautiful Port Girmaud is a must! 

The Cannes is less than hour drive where I recommend a boat trip to Saint Honorat Island! Amazing place with stunning sea views everywhere.

The Pools:

It’s a really good complex with good selection of pools and slides. The kids absolutely loved it. The morning was a quiet time with plenty of available loungers. During first week of our stay it was definitely busier and it was getting a bit crammed in the afternoons. Saying that we never had to wait to go on a slide longer than few minutes which was a bonus. 

Cons: 
Probably the only downside of our stay and what we have found very concerning as parents was a very limited number of lifeguards in the pool area. Almost no supervision on the slides made it look like a wild west. Notorious breaking of slide and pool rules. The areas with no lifeguard supervision made it feel unsafe for our kids. 

Hope it’s something that can be improved in the future as we will be definitely coming back here again!

Family Stay In Esterel Caravaning

Firstly the parc itself is great with the splash park and water slides. But bring water/beach shoes as it is hard to walk on! The team were friendly and helpful. The facilities are fine - I wouldn’t necessarily say they are 5*. I would recommend having a car to get out of the resort as food choices are limited. The main restaurant Les Suds is expensive and overpriced. Whilst the staff were friendly the manager was horrendous. We witnessed a situation where a ‘customer’ rudely told some toddlers to ‘shut the f*#k up’ who by all accounts were not doing anything wrong. The parents were unhappy with this (rightly so) and the manager began yelling and pointing in the mothers face. The mother was in tears and she continued. We felt very uncomfortable and left immediately (but gave the parents our sympathies). We later found out this customer was a friend of the managers. This has left a bad feeling with us in that customers can be treated like this at a place that is targeted for families and children. Our children were upset witnessing it all. 

Avoid Les Suds

Highly recommend this campsite ideal for families and local to all the nice beaches and towns. We have been here 4 years in a row now. Reception staff very helpful and the shop on site is well stocked up too. 

Lovely campsite and great team to make your stay comfortable

This campsite was full of energy with activities for all ages. The kids club was great and our daughter attended various times. The water park was outstanding and kept us busy for hours and hours. Great shops on site and other activities available such as tennis and mini golf. Great exercise to walk up and down the hills! Also a gym on site which had a decent amount of equipment. Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful site with outstanding facilities and activities

Just love this place. Our twelfth visit here with our caravan. We stay in the pitch’s near the pool with private bathrooms. What a treat. We have noticed over the years how much better the staff are in reception.  In the early days we found them distant and unfriendly. So different now. They are so helpful and welcoming. Thank you for making the change and employing such lovely staff who really seem to care about your guests. 
We love happy hour. The shop
Is great and the staff very pleasant. Pizzas at the takeaway were also much better this year, not that they were bad before just better now ! Again great staff. 
There is room for improvement in the loo area next to the pool. It looks dated. The surface around the pool is hard on the feet and I’d appreciate a pool with access that didn’t involve climbing down a ladder !  The forest at the back of the site is amazing for mountain biking. We’ve enjoyed so many wonderful bike rides. 
The wild boar are still a nuisance but not as bad as previous years. The new fencing is appreciated. 
We’ve never eaten in the restaurant as it seems expensive.

12th visit.  Never  disappoints

A brilliant 2 weeks at Esterel.  Our first time staying here but not the last. We booked through Eurocamp and 2 bed Classic Caravan was very modern and spotlessly clean inside. Air Con a must due to the very hot weather.  Camp is very hilly and you will need a car as you are located 2 kms from the beautiful Agay Beach area.  Pools are fantastic and the investment in this camp is really impressive. One of the highlights was Ricardos Fitness classes in the morning.  Enthusiatic, knowledge and friendly and the classes were so tough but excellent.  Site shop and bakery is well stocked and entertainment at night was superb. We've booked already for next year!

Roll in 2023!

Excellent Pool Complex.  Be aware the site is very hilly, this was not a problem to us. 
Would be great for kids.. 5 mins drive to Agay which has clean beach in a sheltered bay. Fabulous restaurants and walks.

Good Park

The site has a good variety of facilities for all the family, but many need upgrading or renovating to meet real 5 star standards. Noise was an issue if sited near the centre, even after midnight. Pitches with their own bathroom are small, dusty and next to the water park and evening entertainment which is great if that’s what you want, but not great if you want a decent night’s sleep. Our caravan was damaged when site staff guided us through a narrow gap and this was reported to the reception but they didn’t follow up on this despite promising to come and see us. 

Not 5 Star quality

Amazing campsite in an amazing location. Really really recommend to all families . The water park on-site is brilliant, the staff are really friendly and helpful. Been 3 times so that speaks volumes . Thanks to all x
