The choice of food including regional meals made it an experience. The family owned restaurant had a great service which was mainly part of the family. The haute Savoie traditional food was cooked perfect. I would always recommend this restaurant.

The dinner we had was really great

Had a very enjoyable lunch at Les Tilleuls in Saint Jorioz.

Obviously a very popular place with locals and the specialities are fish from Lake Annecy.

We had the Fera fish which reminded me of a very good sole. It was perfectly cooked and came with a beautiful butter sauce. Had a reasonably priced Chablis which was a perfect accompaniment to the fish.

Despite our limited French we coped and the staff were exceptionally polite and patient.

Big shout out to Gilles who I think might be the proprietor . He is a “big character” in the nicest possible way and the ultimate front of house guy. He would do well in any top London restaurant.

Local fish and a very fine Chablis

We stayed for two nights during the first week in July en route home from Provence: our first visit to Annecy and with the intention of discovering the lake by bicycle.  Throughout our stay all the staff in the hotel and the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating - offering secure storage for our bikes.  We enjoyed two very good meals in the restaurant, choosing the local fish on the first evening and a traditional fondue on the second (we were amused by the theatrical presentation of the fresh fish).  We also enjoyed the breakfasts which offered a good selection in a very pleasant breakfast room.
Although in the middle of St Jorioz, the hotel is in a quiet location with its own car park and adjacent to the main cycle path which goes around the lake.  Annecy to the north is about 25 min away by bike.  About 5 minutes ride south takes you into open countryside by the lake.
Our double room at the front of the hotel on the first floor was not particularly large (the en-suite bathroom was very small), but was clean, comfortable and adequate for our needs for two nights.  However, in our opinion the hotel needs to address the state of the grubby carpet in the hallway, stairs and landing which lets the place down.

Friendly and welcoming hotel with very good restaurant; hotel decor a little tired.

Booked a table for dinner and asked to be sat in the shade , our request was denied ...however when the next family arrived they had parasols moved for them so they could be shaded , I politely asked for a parasol for my family which was met with eye rolling and a lot of huffing .
I am not a fussy person but the staff were generally rude and unprofessional which is a shame because the food is ok .

Ok food ... terrible staff

The restaurant seems quite busy, so making a reservation is probably a good idea. We tried their menu with Savoyard dishes and were not disappointed. The very tasty 'Tartiflette', great wine and friendly, quick service made us have a great dinner.

Great local dishes

Les Tilleules is a country inn hotel with very nice rooms.  Downstairs, the indoor-outdoor restaurant offers a diverse menu selection which we enjoyed with some very good wine.  The chef excels at some amazing fish dinners.  Staff is excellent, helpful, cheerful.  Nearby Lac Annecy is one of the most beautiful in the world.  Cannot wait to return to this gem.  Oh, yes, it is close to the bike/running trail.

Wonderful country inn hotel with a fabulous chef

Had a great evening for my daughters 30th meal. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and speedy.  The food was some of the best we have had and the steak was to die for. If you want good food at a good price you can't go wrong with this place. Thanks to the staff as well for making the cake extra special with adding more onto it. It worth booking when busy season. It's well worth a trip.
