Old farmhouse style accomodation which has been architected to high standard. Spacious rooms with high quality fitments. Very comfortable and good value for money. Approx 5 minute walk into pretty village with several good restaurants. Ensure you book. Ample free secure parking. Yes would return although be aware that breakfast is quite frugal.

Stylish Accomodation

We stayed at Clos de Pomeir for one night in August on our way south. Our room was large, well-equipped and with modern decor. It was very comfortable.  We had pre-booked a light meal (assiette gourmand) which Veronique served outside in the courtyard with a view over the countryside. We enjoyed a bottle of Beaujolais and bought another in the morning to take away. Breakfast was good with lovely fresh produce.  Veronique made us very welcome and was helpful throughout. A good value stay in a beautiful and less well-known area of France.

A most enjoyable stay

We have stayed here a couple of times now, and each time we could not have had a better experience.  The accommodation is set slightly apart from the main house in what looks like a converted (large) outbuilding.  Each room is decorated in a modern French style, and the decor is  subtle and very charming.  Everything is immaculate, well presented and very clean throughout.

Location wise, it couldn't be better really.  The house is set back from the road (which is not very busy) and you enter the property through some substantial iron gates.  You then find yourself in an idyllic setting amongst the Beajoulais vineyards, with lovely views across the hills.  We did a short walk through the vines one afternoon, and hardly saw a soul.

Veronique runs the place with a calm and welcoming approach, nothing is too much trouble.  Breakfast is stunning - local fresh produce of course, and I believe that other meals can be arranged on request. 

The pool is for guests to use, although our last visit was a winter one so can't comment on it personally, but the views from the pool area would certainly be lovely.

Overall this is definitely in the Premier League of French B+Bs, a superb location, extremely clean and elegant rooms, and a friendly welcoming family running the place.  Can't recommend it more highly - we will be back at the next opportunity.

A perfect French Bed and Breakfast

While on a walking trip through the Beaujolais area we had the good luck to stay at Le Clos de Pomiers.  Our hostess, Veronique made us very welcome and gave us a nice cold beer upon arriving. Our room was spacious, clean with nice fixtures and a large shower.  Before dinner we sat out in the yard, (too cold for the pool!) and took advantage of the great evening view! That evening we had a pre-arranged dinner that was served in the old cellar. Veronique sat and had a small glass of sparkling wine with us and told us a little history if the home and the town. Dinner was very nice (served with local wine) and the morning breakfast was very good with fresh breads and fruit. 
We had a fun stay and Veronique was gracious and helpful.  We had a very pleasant stay.
