Comfortable and unpretentious with delicious French cuisine. We were travelling back to Calais from Brittany and needed a stop. The Hotel Caudron was perfect. The dinner was absolutely delicious and good to eat traditional French food in our last night. Breakfast was also a lovely buffet, with something for everyone, croissants and fresh, crusty bread. Highly recommended. Thank

The hotel failed to live to live up to our expectations in most respects. Facilty is rather old-fashioned and run down. The restaurant is all but a brasseri. Its food was very mediocre and left little to remember. 

once is enough

The room at this hotel was excellent. The food was delicious, fresh and large portions. The location is a very good base to explore the region. The staff were also very friendly.  We have nothing but praise for this hotel.

Ecellent hotel

went for a short trip to do some bird-watching in nearby Bay of the Somme National Park. Very nice area. The hotel was friendly and has a nice restaurant and bar. There is parking nearby. We hope to return for longer and explore more of the area when the covid-19 crisis settles.

good hotel and restaurant in small town

We have stayed here a couple of times, about 1 hour south of Channel Tunnel. Very nice small hotel perfect for overnight stay, with good restaurant down stairs. Parking just across the road, would recommend.

Overnight Stay 

Myself and 2 friends stayed here on our way back to Dunkirk. Even though we had booked well in advance, due to the popularity and probably the time of year all that was available was a triple room. 1 night was no problem so we booked. On arrival we were greeted by a really lovely lady at reception who showed us to the room. Parking is easy, literally just opposite. The room was comfortable and clean and unlike most European hotels, it had tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant was excellent. Clearly hugely popular as the clientele were mostly French. I had the Moules Caudron - their own recipie. It was amazing! We all slept well as the room was quiet. Breakfast was basic, bread, cheese, cereals and yoghurt. Enough for me though after the huge plate of Moules the night before. The hotel is in a small town called Rue, very easy to find and really close to a lovely Boulangerie that sells superb macaroons. They are open every day so we were able to stock up and take some home. Dunkirk was an hour and 15 mins journey a good stopover en-route. Finally, the room, dinner for 3, 2 bottles of gorgeous Provence Rose, 3 beers and 3 breakfasts - total 70 euros pp. A bargain!

Rue is a delightful village and well worth a walk through however there's a need to use the car to explore the area which has few attractions.
Hotel Caudron is lovely with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent and very busy thus a good atmosphere. Breakfast is also very good and worth the price. Car parking is easy outside.  The room was tiny and very claustrophobic with beds pushed hard together. The decor is poor with stained walls and it's badly in need of decoration. Furniture is chipped and needs replacing now.
However for the price and friendliness of all staff we enjoyed our stay. Don't bother going to Le Crotoy however it's shabby and nothing to recommend. Valery sur Somme however is charming.

Lovely village and friendly hotel

Comfortable hotel, really lovely breakfast. Had dinner at their partner hotel in the evening, which was lovely too. Attentive staff, no complaints at all. We arrived quite late in the evening but had no problems checking in. We had emailed in advance to let them know. The hotel is set in a little town which has a chemist and essential local stores.
