Visit was for business. Easy walk from the train station. The rooms are basic but comfortable. What made this hotel 5 stars was the owner and her outstanding service (helping book a taxi, talking about the local area, serving each meal), combined with an amazing quality of food at dinner and breakfast - most sourced locally. Would stay again!

Amazing food and service!

Having been lodged in three occasions in this hotel, and two of them during pandemic conditions, I have always found a friendly reception and service. The quaity of the food is also excellent and the room conditions match our expectations. I will certainly repeat the experience!

Auberge de Nicey - Business travel

Séjour excellent. Repas très bien. Staff aux petits soins. Espace spa, gym et piscine ideal pour se reposer. 
Great stay at the Auberge de Nicey. Very nice and well prepared dishes. Spa, gym and pool area is perfect for relaxing.

Excellent

The rooms are very small and nothing special, although the price is quite high in comparison with other similar rated Logis de rance hotels. The pool is quite big and nice and with direct access to the outside small garden. The restaurant has a very simple dining room and the menu is very limited in the selection. The quality didn't correspond to a 3-pan Logis de France restaurant. we could also not understand the Michelin guide rating. The breakfast is very nice with fresh orange juice and fresh eggs anykind you like. Private hotel parking with code access, which seems wisely in this town.

Overpriced and overrated restaurant

Lovely hotel in the small town of Romilly-Sur-Seine, approx 90 minutes drive from Paris and on the edge of France's champagne region.
Hotel is typical of the region, rooms and beds are comfortable, restaurant serves good quality food, although not cheap! Staff are lovely and friendly, and fortunately most speak English.
No air con in rooms which would have been useful in the recent hot spell, and outside the hotel, mosquitos were a problem (not the hotels fault).
Overall, a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of rural France.

Typically French

I wandered over here to look for internet ... my train had broken down and I wanted to tell the people waiting for me that I would be late. These lovely people gave me an internet ticket, offered me coffee ... and arranged for a taxi to take me (and another guy who'd wandered in, a cabshare) to Troyes. That is: .... way above and beyond. 

Anyway, I wasn't a guest so I can't comment on the room experience. I can say the breakfast/dining room looks way nicer than the one at the hotel I'm at in Paris. And any place run by people this nice has to be good.

Really really good people

Have just returned from a short visit to France, relation booked this hotel for us to be near their home.  We were absolutely thrilled with everything.  The staff could not have been more helpful.  Room was spotless and the dining rooms were really modern.  Would definitely stay again.  Thank you to everyone at the Hotel we could not have been looked after better.
