It’s worth the bumpy ride to come here. This place is amazing. 

The view is stunning and the ocean breezes are instantly present anywhere on the hilltop location. The property is beautifully and painstakingly maintained — particularly hard to find in Martinique. Many places show photo enhanced pictures - not the case here. 

The gastronomic prix fixe menu is fabulous and  was repeatedly (x4)  a success. Wine choices, thought limited, are all very good (it’s France after all!). Even the breakfast verges on the gastronomic with local fruit and hooves made from local produce.  

We were supposed to stay for three nights and we ended up staying for seven. Maybe that says it all.

Beautiful hotel on a hill overlooking the bay. Restaurant setting and gardens are excellent and a great place to relax. 
negatives, one would be the bathroom which was looking tired and very little water pressure in the shower and there isn’t any parking that doesn’t require going up a very steep incline with the cases! There is one handicapped parking space close to the reception though

Beautiful location

Great place to start our postponed vacation after the COVID Pandamic. We had high expectations but were very impressed with the hospitality and layout of Plein Soleil! We had our own private pool - which was very welcome after a long trip. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant 2 nights and were both times very satisfied with the food, the wine and the service.

Its Location and somewhat add tire to find it. Also the rooms were unique and we had good view and nice closed off room.

     My wife and I stayed in one of the garden view rooms with a small private pool.  The room was very nice and had a very large covered veranda with a kitchenette with everything you would need to fix a meal.  There was a small room next to the pool with a second bed, shower, and toilet.  Breakfast was very good with a large variety of fruits, pastries, and cooked eggs, all served at your table.  We had a choice of two fixed menus each night, both of which were very good if you like deluxe French style cooking, and of course a bit on the expensive side.
     The hospitality and service of the manager and his staff could not have been better.  We got lost coming in at night and did not arrive until 10 PM, after the kitchen was closed, but they still prepared a meal for us.  The only downside to Hotel Plein Soleil is the rough and twisted road getting there.  Postal addresses on Martinique rarely work on Google maps, or the GPS in our car.  We discovered that if you enter the town near your destination and then expand the map the hotels, restaurants, and other attractions usually appear. 
     Le Francois was well situated for us to visit things in the middle and southern parts of Martinique, and we found the roads good for a Caribbean island.

Wonderful place to stay

The room was great; the food for breakfast was fantastic; the staff was fantastic; the drive to the hotel was up some crazy winding roads and isolated, which makes for a quiet evening, but tough to go 'back into town' for dinner.
