We had the coldest welcome which continued throughout our stay. Basic elements were missing such as a kettle, glasses for water, a fridge big enough to fit more than a bottle of water per room or the per’itted use of an existing communal space (which had limited lighting and sofas positioned so no one could use them). After breakfast, a shutter divided and sealed off guests from accessing basic things like wine glasses or a plate as well as shutters firmly closing the exit to the garden. 

During the breakfast,  our host grumpily offered an extremely limited and basic breakfast, grumbling when asking for a yoghurt for my daughter (as the last one on the table had been taken), looking astonished when we were asking for a carafe of water and glasses to drink from and literally putting the lids on the jams (at 9.30am)  as we were taking a spoonful on to our plate. Tiny bowls matched the mentality and  the tightness despite this being an expensive accommodation compared to others in the area. 

Whilst the rooms were nicely presented, there was no kettle or means to boil water despite the two mugs left out, there was a tiny bin and absolutely no love put into making what could be a great place - a welcoming stay. Other guests complained of the doors to the garden being closed at 10am so cutting off the means to use the garden space. 

Our host looked disapprovingly at us and had absolutely no charm or interest in her guests except to confirm that they had finished breakfast and she could clean. 

It is not a place we will come back to unless the host has a change of attitude and spirit.

Unfriendly, lack of basic amenities. Expensive

We stayed for 3 nights and were so grateful to have found this little town east of the lake. It meant we got to explore Annecy but also the surrounding countryside. The small town has a good selection of shops restaurants and a friendly bar too so it’s very helpful for those who want to experience French culture at its kindest and most authentic. 
Lucie who owns the guest house is a perfect host who has created a wonderful home from home that is so clean, beautifully and sensitively decorated to retain the original character of her family’s barn.  The beds are sumptuous and allowed for a deep sleep and the view from our room was like a scene from the Heidi film (se picture). The food and tourist advice Lucie provided was so welcomed and her homemade cake and jam’s are heavenly... wish EasyJet would allow me to transport some back home!!! 
We will absolutely be back to this treasure and wish to reassure potential guests that with a car this is the best place to stay to explore the local area. Bonsoir!! 

Homely picturesque guesthouse close to Annecy

We spent 4 nights at this welcoming and scrupulously clean guest house in a delightful location at the base of Lake Annecy.  Lucie provided a wam welcome - she responded helpfully and promptly to our email inquiries beforehand, was there to greet us on our arrival, and provided a delicious and ample continental breakfast each morning.  Our room (L'Aulp) was incredibly clean with a lovely decor and modern bathroom.  Lucie lent us bikes one day to explore the many cycle paths.  We enjoyed swimming in the lake, coffee in Doussard, the luge and chairlift at la sambuy (nearby faverges) and cycling to Annecy (and all around the lake - further than anticipated!).  Not to mention my kids first experience of paragliding - the landing site being walking distance from La Grangelitte.  A wonderful few days in a delightful spot.

Delightful and charming B&B in a quiet hamlet at the far end of Lake Annecy

We had a great time in this guest house. Lucy is extremely helpful, very kind and so welcoming with her guests. 
Our room was very clean and nice decorated, a place to feel home. We asked about a somewhere to eat, and she recommended us a restaurant 10 minutes walk away (and the restaurant was very good too ) ! 
Also the breakfast was absolutely delightful with local cheeses and home-made cake !

A Wonderful place

Very well kept facilities, comfortable room, nice garden, delicious breakfast and, above all, very friendly hospitality.
Ideal location for exploring the region as well as relaxing in a calm and beautiful place.

Very pleasant - ideal for vacation

Lovely place hidden off the beaten track.  Rooms were excellent quality.  Unfortunately our stay was spoilt by an unfortunate mishap.  We mistakenly left the front door unlocked one afternoon for which we apologised but the landlady barely spoke to us for the rest of our stay. We were made to feel very uncomfortable.  Would have stayed again but will look elsewhere now.
