Wonderful and welcoming hosts – Sophie and Laurent. Don’t worry if you can’t speak French as they are both fluent in English. They were both very generous with their time, helping us to improve our French, offering advice regarding restaurants, booking taxis and providing information on walking trails and places of interest.    
We were given an amazing, fresh and abundant breakfast every day: croissants, bread, butter, homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange juice, choice of eggs or cheeses, homemade yoghurt, tea / coffee, fresh fruit, plus, every day, a different delicious homemade treat e.g. orange and almond cake, scones, clafoutis, rice pudding! 
Spacious and clean rooms,
heated swimming pool in huge well kept gardens (front and back) with fruit trees – figs, apricots, pears, mirabelle. 
Great location in beautiful Bourgogne. We were able to travel by car to Dijon and many of the famous small towns in Burgundy e.g. Pommard, Beaune, Meursault, Chassagne Montrachet. 
Highly recommended!

Ten days in paradise!

So glad we came across this place to stay to break up the drive down south of France. The sense from the first email enquiry was already very positive - great, speedy communication and very friendly, helpful responses. We had the two suites on the first floor and both are super spacious with nice views of the garden. Definitely a feeling of home away from home and really, without a doubt, the biggest assets are Sophie & Laurent - the most welcoming and genuine hosts you could ask for. It’s been such a pleasure.

Wonderful hosts

Sophie and Laurent were so welcoming it felt like we were visiting old friends. The property is amazing, truly a perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The location was perfect for exploring the region with most restaurants and attractions within a comfortable driving distance. The pool was a welcomed oasis to get away from the heat or just a much needed late afternoon break before dinner. We were spoiled by Sophie and Laurent’s excellent recommendation of vineyards and restaurants. Finally, we miss the daily breakfast spread already, it was truly a treat to walk up to and something Sophie takes meticulous care to prepare for her guests. Highly recommended if you are looking for a comfortable, non-pretentious getaway in the region.

Home Away from Home!

Le clos des tilleuls is a real delight. A stylish guest house with extremely warm and welcoming hosts, we had a wonderful three night stay here and I would not hesitate to go back.
From the moment I got in touch, Laurent was very helpful, and always quick to respond, providing suggestions for things to do in the area (La Voie des Vignes cycle ride being an absolute must!) as well as giving us great restaurant recommendations, and helping us book tastings. We also had a wonderful, private tasting with Laurent in their cellar on our first night (during a rather atmospheric thunder storm) which was a great introduction to the region, and enjoyed many fabulous Burgundian wines from their well-stocked wine fridge during our stay. 
The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were equally impressive - homemade yogurt and jam a particular highlight! In all aspects, the details are meticulous and well thought out.
Le clos des tilleuls definitely delivers on style and comfort but is the warmth of the hosts, Sophie and Laurent, who are always so welcoming and helpful, that truly make this a great find.

A gem of a guest house in Burgundy!

For our first ever trip to Burgundy we decided against a hotel in Beaune in favour of Le Clos de Tilleuls - and we're so glad we did.  From the moment we arrived, when Sophie and Laurent both welcomed us as we drove in through the gates of their delightful home, we felt 'at home'.  We'd booked the largest of their suites, Tilleuls, on the first floor - it's huge, with triple aspect windows across the gardens and out towards the village church.  From giving us excellent restaurant recommendations in neighbouring villages (Laurent was fastidious in replying promptly and helpfully as we planned our trip in advance) to organising taxis, to just allowing us the freedom to enjoy the beautiful environment and the art throughout the house and garden, it felt like 5-star accommodation throughout.  And then there were the daily home-made delights to accompany breakfast...  Highly recommended.

Beautiful Property, and Charming Hosts...

When staying in an unfamiliar town and accommodation it is always a relief that the photos on the website are a very good impression of the quality. In this instance whilst the photos were beautiful the accommodation was even more so. The size of the room we had was massive along with the bathroom which was equal in size to a students flat.
The hosts were so friendly,  welcoming and helpful to all the guests. Whilst enjoying a bottle of wine, from their extensive wine list, out on the patio at the end of the day the hosts came out to chat to each guest to see if they had a lovely day and if they needed assistance with anything. 
Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious.  Fresh baguette,  croissant,  freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade jams and baked goods to name a few things.

Stunning property with amazing hosts

If you visit Burgundy no matter what for YOU HAVE TO STAY AT LES CLOS DES TILLEULS. We were so lucky it was recommended to us by friends as we couldn't have wished for a better place for our stay. 

- The house is stylishly renovated. You wouldn't want to leave your room were it not for the aesthetic communal rooms, the enchanting garden or the beautiful pool.

- Sophie and Laurent are the perfect  hosts. Everything starting from the booking through to our stay until check-out was very easy and uncomplicated. They are very helpful, welcoming and heartwarming.

- They can give you plenty of recommendations on what to discover in Burgundy. Make sure to also follow their restaurant recommendations (especially but definitely not only if you are a wine lover). 

- The breakfast is lovingly prepared and the wines they offer for self-consumption make your wine heart flutter. 

Just stay there, I promise you will love it! Thank you Sophie and Laurent we truly enjoyed our stay and we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back with a nice bottle of Swiss Pinot.

Here and only here!

Incredible old French manor, very well renovated with taste. Sophie and Laurent are perfect hosts: very welcoming, friendly and give great advice to enjoy delicious dinner or suggest activities around the place. A short drive from best burgundy wine villages (there is a dedicated cycle track that goes from
Beaune to Santenay going through all those wine villages).
The room was really big and bright, with an amazing view on the garden. The place, in its whole, is very quiet. 
Breakfast was perfect: almost everything is homemade (yogurt, granola, jam, orange juice).
It is a perfect place to stay and enjoy few days. 
We’ll be back for sure!

Beautiful manor and perfect hosts in Burgundy

Amazing B&B in the heart of Burgundy! We stayed just for 1 night at Le Clos des Tilleuls but I wish we had stayed there longer. We will definitely return! Beautiful design guest house located in a lovely french village, only 15 mins drive to Beaune. The hosts Sophie and Laurent are wonderful, they go above and beyond with their hospitality. Our room was beautiful, very clean and the most comfortable beds, spacious and elegant bathroom. I would rate it as a 5 stars hotel room. The pool and the grounds are fantastic, very relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, homemade fruit crumble, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, fresh bread and croissants, homemade yogurt and jams. Just perfect! 
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, you made us feel at home! We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Beautiful Home away from Home

Overall a very beautiful building with a big garden and a nice swimming pool. Lot's of detail in the design and beautiful art. 

We only stayed one night and unfortunately we didn't feel very welcome. When we arrived (around lunchtime) the gate was closed and we had to call the owners, who told us that check-in was only available from 5pm onwards. We totally understand that we have to wait for the room, but there was no option to enter the building and drop our luggage (and maybe wait for the room in the garden or something), which is not something you expect from a rather expensive accommodation. 

Also during our stay we didn't feel comfortable and a bit watched by the owners, who had a tight policy on several house rules. A real pitty for such a nice location!
