La Maison Vieille is conveniently located within walking distance of the old walled city and has plenty of parking nearby. The property has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, with attention to detail, and the owner and her staff are friendly and helpful. We'd particularly like to commend Neria for being so kind and helpful. It was also lovely to be able to enjoy home-made breakfast food around a big table with other guests. A lovely place to stay! Would certainly recommend

Exceptional is probably the best word to describe our stay at La Maison Vieille. Clean, modern yet still with that French rustic charm. Our hostess, Catherine was charming and helpful from restaurant recommendations to taxi bookings. Breakfast was traditional, homemade cakes and pastries and the brioche .... wow! Great location only 10 minute walk to medieval city one way and the same to the town the other which had a great Saturday morning market. Fantastic wine bar two doors down that served cheese and charcuterie too ... great value! Would without doubt stay here again and highly recommend to all.Merci beaucoup Catherine

Lovely stay. All round excellent. Will be back!

Catherine is an excellent host. Property is 10 mins walk uphill from the medieval city and next to the river. Parking is in free car park 2 mins walk from property. Rooms are fabulous. Lounge area very comfortable and lots of guide books etc available to use. Breakfast is excellent. Great stay and thoroughly recommended.

Great location and host.

What a fantastic bed and breakfast.  We stayed 6 nights in early October in one of the rooms overlooking the inner courtyard.  All the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was extremely comfortable with a lovely big, comfy bed.  Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of different options, and it all felt very fresh.  The B&B is perfectly placed with a 10 minute walk into the medieval city and about the same into the 'new' city, just over the bridge.  We used the airport shuttle to get to and from the B&B, as it stops a couple of minutes walk from it at Pont Neuf, and at 6 euros each it was great value.  Heartily recommend this beautiful B&b if you are visiting this beautiful city

Amazed

What a wonderful place to stay. The room decor was lovely, the atmosphere was fabulous and it was situated just 10 mins walk from La Cite and the Town Centre.Catherine was the most helpful of hosts and I would genuinely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel that exceeded all my expectations

We recently had a three night stay in this amazing B&B. It is a perfect location at the foot of the medieval city and next to Pont-Vieux the old bridge. 
The room over looked the courtyard and was excellent, with plenty of space and an excellent walk in shower. It was an ideal base and very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and very good quality served in a very relaxed atmosphere with the other guests. . 
There are plenty restaurants, bars and small shops on the same street, so everything on your door step.
We would happily return to this wonderful B&B and would highly recommend.

The perfect place to stay in Carcassonne

A beautiful building with an excellent host and facilities, La Maison Vielle is an ideal place to stay in Carcassonne. Close to both the bastide and the cite, it was an absolute pleasure to stay there for five days

Ideal

One of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. Warm welcome from Catherine matched by non imposing attentiveness by Valerie at breakfast time set the tone.  We had a beautiful spacious room with a wet room, more than sufficient for our needs. Location was perfect, lots of restaurants nearby and the medieval city and the new town both easily accessible on foot. The highlight was the breakfast, it seems our hosts rise hours beforehand to ensure freshly baked cakes were available. Couldn't fault this venue and looking forward to returning already.
