This is a charming and welcoming accommodation in the beautiful city of Blois. The room we booked (Augustine) was spacious and comfortable with a large bath that included a soaking tub (a welcome feature since we arrivied on bikes!) Our host, madame Galland, was very friendly and helpful.  A delicious breakfast was included and served in a particularly lovely room looking over the garden. 
The location is very convenient to all of the interesting sites in Blois as well as the shopping and restaurants area. The train station is a walk of only about 10 minutes and at the station one can also catch a bus or shuttle out to Chambourd - certainly a castle worth visiting. 

Charm and comfort

The hotel was conveniently located in town with many restaurants within walking distance. The room was extremely large with a beautiful walk in shower. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only complaint was the air conditioning was not available and it was warm at night   for me to sleep. If we were not on the bottom floor I would have enjoyed opening my windows but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that.

Beautiful spacious hotel.

What a lovely stay!  I was in France for two weeks and staying at the Maison du Carroir was the highlight of my trip.  The grounds are charming and the room was spacious and well furnished.  The host provided wonderful service and was flexible in letting me drop off my baggage early when I arrived ahead of check-in time.  The best treat was breakfast!!  Le "petit" dejeuner was quite "grand" and full of an assortment of breads, jams, and other delightful treats (mango yogurt, charcuterie, chevre, etc).  This is travel in France at its best and I hope to return soon!!

· Perfect Little Chambre D'hôte, very friendly owner, immaculately kept, lovely finishing touches, breakfast exceptional, you can tell everything is done from the heart. Recommend 100% If you have a wide car, then the way the sat nav takes you is extremely tight, the host showed us a much easier way thank goodness!

Hidden away behind a lovely stone wall and rambling roses

House and rooms were lovely !   Host was unfriendly and very rule oriented.  Blois is a lovely town with lots to see and do and beautiful bicycling along the Loire River.  The French countryside is gorgeous.

Lovely room - non helpful host

We stayed here for just one night and would happily book here again.  Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was outstanding and the breakfast table a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach!  Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.  We speak only a small amount of French and our hosts the same amount of English.  This really wasn’t a problem, just something to be aware of.  All in all an excellent place very close to the castle and heart of the city

Superb accommodation

Charming older house very near the castle and the centre of Blois.  Our room had a small Juliette balcony, was very comfortable and overlooked the peaceful garden.  The breakfast was very good.  The proprietor was charming and could not have been more helpful, helping us with regards to local restaurants etc and even keeping a parking space for us outside (like in many towns it is difficult to find parking).  It is in a one way street that is very narrow about 50 yards away and if you have a wide car (like us) it is a very - and I mean very - tight squeeze.

This bed and breakfast is a gem! If you want to enjoy the true French experience: beautiful rooms with luxurious bedding, breakfast with homemade delicacies and a wide variety of breads, a hostess with charm, a beautiful garden, and the charm of a story tale. Minutes walking from the castle, the location is perfect. Nothing negative to say, my friend and I had a great friends weekend, and we will definitely be returning.

An experience you will never forget

My husband and I spent four fabulous nights at du Carrior.
Great location within the historic town of Blois, within walking distance to main town.
We arrived early in the morning before check in time and our host was very welcoming allowing us to drop our luggage off in our room that wasn’t ready.
Our room was very spacious , clean and very comfortable.Our linens were changed daily, which has not always been my experience in B&B’s
What sets this B& B apart from many is the fantastic breakfast served every day.
The table was set with amazing French breads & pastries,local cheese,fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and jams, prosciutto . You wouldn’t go away hungry.
Our last day we checked out at 5:30AM and our host was waiting in the dining room with a quick breakfast and a packed bag of Fresh pastries.
Yes, it is true the owners do not speak English but we just used Google translate so it was not a problem at all. Also there was always a guest who spoke English and they would translate on our behalf.
