Villa Bella

The hotel was perfect with a great view of the whole city, the room was clean and very beautiful, the personal was very nice and frendly. Excelent access to internet

My friends and I had a great stay here. Beautiful view. Easy stroll to shops and lake. Very comfortable beds and ensuite. Flat screen TVs in all rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the host is a gorgeous woman who has a motherly approach with guests. After I had an unfortunate incident with a jeweller ripping me off she insisted on accompanying me back to the store to ensure my refund. Very honest lady. 

We arrived at Ohrid at sorry notice and therefore had no accommodation booked. The staff at Villa Bella were very helpful and allocated us 4 deluxe double rooms at an hour's notice! 

The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable furniture and rugs. The bathrooms are clean with lots of hot water and good pressure. 

Things to note:
-wonderful view of the lake from deluxe rooms 
-3 minute walk to main street and port
-there is NO air conditioning - be aware of this; however even in 35 degree heat, our room stayed cool and the balcony doors let a nice breeze in 
-there was shampoo in our room, however best to BYO other toiletries 

We did not have breakfast included, however according to other reviews this may be an option for you. 

If you are interested in hiring a boat to take you out sightseeing on the lake for the day, do not hesitate to ask the hotel staff - they were efficient in organising a well - priced, safe and comfortable boat for us. If you try negotiating at the port, you will likely get swindled.

Gorgeous stay

Excellent choice! 

Though the room had a wonderful sight on the town and lake we were very angry about the price politics.
Whe we asked for the price, the young son of the owner told us, it is 25 Euros for one night with breakfast. We stayed there for two nights and the first morning there was no breakfast at all, so we had to go to café. The next mornig I told the landlady to prepare breakfast, but it never arrived in our room. Later we saw the tray wit the cold tea an the melted butter on a table in the hall - nobody told us it was there eve though she said she would sere it in the room because they obviously don't have a room for breakfast.
When we leaved and wanted to pay the bill, we were suddenly told that the price is for one person so we had to pay twice as much!
As I was sure that we did not get this information when we arrived I did not want to pay this amount which is a price you can get a hotel room in a big city in Mazedonia. 
In the end I was threatened with the police if I didn't pay. So I gave this young swindler the double amount and told him that we would never come back to this place!

Besides of that the bathroom was so tiny you almost coulnd't turn around in it and the room wasn't cleaned when we came home the first evening. They even don't have a refrigerator and you can't cool your drinks there.

Don't go there, they rip you off!
