I enjoyed my stay at this property, very confortable, clean which is all you need for few nights, breakfast was great as well. I like the location nearby to the shops and restaurants. I use a los this hotel brands and like very much the services


Great value, great stay

If you are looking for an amazing hotel then for 20dollars you arnt going to get the standards you expect. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! 

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night before our Galapagos trip and one night after if we were here longer we would have stayed at hotel Sander longer! 

The staff are excellent, the WiFi is great (only in the lobby) the rooms are everything You want bed bathroom, air con yes here is nothing fancy on the walls but for 20 dollars we thought it was AMAZING! 

We did have windows in our room 2 in fact (again you get what you pay for) so the cheaper the room the less you get ? 

It was a bit noisy at night as we were right next to the main road but it didn’t stop us getting to sleep 

All in all this hotel is great for 1 or 2 nights maybe ever more. The hotel staff even checked us in early from our early flight at 7am which was even better. I would highly recommend this hotel. 

Great Value for money, excellent budget hotel

Great value for money, clean, safe, amazingly friendly and helpful hotel staff, centrally located and comfortable. I loved staying in this hotel, it reminded me of my family holidays in the 90ties to the south of Spain. The hotel is probably around 30 years old, but its kept in tip-top shape. I absolutely recommend this hotel!! 

Super-recommend this hotel!

The neighbourhood isn't great, but the security, care and attention from the staff is above reproach. The staff is friendly and helpful and know how to take care of their clients. The rooms are clean, while very simple. Sometimes the good price attracks some less than desirable neighbours, but again the staff is very helpful. The location is fantastic relative to the modern center of town.

An Island in a Storm

Very good hotel in a good location in Quayaquil. Friendly and very helpful staff throughout our stay who assisted us with baggage storage during our Galapogos trip. Rooms are spacious, wi fi is good and the air conditioning is quite and effective. Rooms are also cleaned throughly everyday. Excellent value for money.

Very Good Hotel

Maybe all the negative reviews I'd read about this place made it seem better than I envisioned, but I think this place is a fair deal.  Be warned, there are no luxuries or amenities here, but you get what you pay for.  For $25 you get a clean room with AC.  We froze all night the AC worked so well!  The bed was firm and pretty comfortable.  Bathroom was clean.  There is literally no charm to any part of this hotel so keep your hopes low.  But you likely are only passing through Guayaquil so really - move beyond this and be thankful for the cleanliness. 

The cons that we encountered were unfortunately the staff.  The woman at the desk who greeted us couldn't have been ruder.  She couldn't be bothered to find our reservation, the details, or our booking.  She told us flat out they didn't have maps (when later we found them ourselves!).  She moved at a snails pace and let about 6 people go in front of us.  After a 5 hour bus ride none of this was appreciated.  But everyone else that worked here seemed to be nice, so maybe she was just having a horrible day.  

I'd stay here again if I had to be in Guayaquil again.  

Oh, and it was a $4 taxi for us from the bus station to the hotel, and then $4 back to the airport the next morning.

Looks aside it's a good value

Was the second best hotel that I stayed in while in Guayaquil (I only stayed in two). The word I would use to describe this place is "meh" in that it has everything you would expect but still feels pretty run-down. It was also more expensive than other hotels that I stayed in which made my experience more disappointing. The best part about this place was the location as it was a block from the central plaza and a 10 minute walk from the Malecon (the city's main attraction). There  were also plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance which was very convenient. All things considered, I wouldn't stay here again though.

Good for a Night or Two while Passing Through

Really, there was not much to like. I got into the hotel after a long day of travel. The receptionists then asked for my ID which I gave her. She then insisited on me giving her my children who are both very much minors I.D's of which I refused. The 2 ladies at the front, then isisted that it was a requirement. I travel several times every few months and always with my children. NEVER ever have I been asked for their IDs.  Obviously, at this point of banter that continued at least 5 minutes I was annoyed, and told them to return my money, I will contact an attorney and that the fact that we are black does not constitute different rules for us. They then changed their tone. The room was past basic, looked nothing like the photos and you need to use a keycard for the lights. The dish box sits infront of the television,  literally blocking the screen. Never again. I stayed here out of desperation to get a  passprt appointment. NEVER AGAIN! Ironically, I moved on to our other city the next day, stayed at a 4 star hotel and was never asked for the ID's of my children. You pay for the mentality of people they hire. Brainless.

This hotel simply not what you expect , very noisy during night from barking dogs and traffic and more noise in the morning for construction , no hot water tap . Simply has on tap for cold water , over all sleeping on the street was better than being in the room
