Hostal Plantas y Blanco

The only thing I didn't do in the fabulous city of Baños is to stay inside a hotel or hostel. There is no way to stay holed up in an accommodation room in this city of extreme sports and beautiful scenery. I took these tours all far from the small town, before writing about the hostel: * Waterfall Route (part of the day or the whole day); * La Casa del Árbol (a daytime period); * Climbing to the top of the Tungurahua Volcano (two-day tour); * Climb the top of the Chimborazo Volcano and bike down to Ambato; I just came to the hostel for a bath, sleep and breakfast. The hostel is very well located and around thousands of travel agencies. I didn't even waste my time researching travel agency prices. I used the great travel agency Ivagatours (Tour Operator) on all private tours with the fantastic guide Jose. Great cars, guides, equipment, speak English, punctual and pamper you. Returning to the hostel at fantastic prices. Breakfast (mine was included) is healthy and basic on the roof with a view of the cathedral, all the mountains or volcanoes, waterfalls, swings, green and flowers. My cramped private room with a bathroom is clean, quiet and safe. Bath towels are distributed free of charge. The internet or telephone signal is bad in the whole of Ecuador (including the Galapagos Islands, which has a worse signal than the Ecuadorian continent). The manager and staff are loving and caring. I almost forgot, the hostel offers several attractions and none of them I had time to use, such as a TV room, sauna, games room, etc. Baños is fantastic and if you want to be located, pay little, clean and honest accommodation, fun, etc., this is it. I almost forgot 2: They don't have 24 hours somebody at the reception to open doors sometimes. I had to wait consciously for someone to come down from the top floor to the ground floor, but they hear the bell, it's a matter of minutes. Relax, you are in Baños.
