This place was very fitting for our need as a family with kids 10 and 13. The Waterpark is good. We only went there once, though. They have a few different pools depending on what your mood is for the day. Feel like being around a bunch of people, music going, volleyball head the the middle pool. Feel like a quiet time head the the pool closer to the lobby. They have some smaller kiddie pools near each one also. I was impressed the pool situation

I liked the restaurant situation was a little different than I'm used to but I kind of liked it. There's unlimited al a cartes but then there's also a few al a cartes you can pay extra for.
The buffet is what you can expect. The foods decent. We stayed for 14 days so the buffet gets old real quick
The free al a  cartes include:
Under The Sea - the food here was good. Nothing to send a postcard about 
Mexicana - We enjoyed the food here. We ate her 3 times, and the service was good.
Bella Cucina - food here was ok. It wasn't bad food, but for Italian food, there's a much better Italian on the other side of the resort. They kinda got like a salad and ham buffet type thing to start with.  This place is also open for breakfast on the weekends.

By far our favorite place to eat was Grazie. Not only was the food really good but the service was fantastic. You'll need to reserve here because it's gets really busy very quickly. We met our favorite person in the entire DR here. Her name is Elizabeth and she honestly made our day everytime we went there. Not only was she great at her job by making sure everything was perfect for us (she sped walks everywhere) but her conversation skills were great too. It felt like we were talking with a friend. We would request to sit in her section and even if we had to wait a little longer past our reservation time it was well worth it for the level of service she brings. I think we ate here like 6 or times out of the 14 we were here and only the first time we didn't have Elizabeth. After that she was our go to for the rest of the trip.

There is also a little lunch spot that has burgers fries and hotdogs down by the arcade called bites. Nice tiny little spot for a quick bite. They got the fixings for your burger or dog, tomato, onion, pickles, jalapeños, ketchup and mustard mayo. We ate here quite a few times just to avoid the hustle of the buffet, plus the buffet opens at 1230 and this place opens at 11 but it's nice and quick come 1130. Its only open until 6pm though so don't expect getting a late snack here. My 10 YO boy wanted to eat a hamburger here everyday

For the paid al a cartes we only did two of them. There's a few here but we did Hunter (steakhouse) and Zen (Japanese)

The food was good I'd give it 4 outta 5 here but it wouldn't have paid to eat here the second time (my wife booked it) but at that point I wasn't going to complain. The service here was mediocre. Nothing came fast except if you wanted to pay for the good wine. The first time we went we waited so long for our main course to come out one of the guys clearing tables thought we had already eaten and brought us dessert which confused the waiter and made us wait even longer for out food. I get it mistakes happen and the guy who made the mistake didn't speak good English and seemed new but I just think if your at an all inclusive resort and your going to pay additional money to eat at an ala carte you'd want to put your best servers there. I'd give the service 2.5 outta 5. We may have been spoiled by Elizabeth at Grazie but still.
Over all I would recommend eating here once if your like meat. 

Zen was a pretty good experience. Hibachi restaurant. It was same thing as Hunter $30pp $15 each kid. I really like trying different things and I've never been to a hibachi so it was something I was wanting to try. My wife is very against seafood of any kind and they made sure that her food didn't touch any seafood. For me being a newbie to the hibachi experience it was a lot of fun and worth the money for the experience. The food and service were both 4 outta 5 for me and I would recommend it if your into that kind of food.

The resort itself is like two resorts put together so depending on which side your on you have access to certain ala cartes. But that was the extent of the restaurants we tried. 

They also have 2 coffee shops and an ice cream place too

With the resort being so big they have a trolley that runs back and forth from one end to the other with a few stops in between. It's like a 3 minute trolley ride or a 20 minute walk. This thing runs early in the morning to  late at night. It might even run 24 hours I'm not entirely sure but it's a great feature to have.

The beach was pretty rough so we only spent one day there. I can't give you an honest feedback as I slept the entire time under a little tiki umbrella. Apparently the beach is much calmer in mid January on but we were here in December but it looked like it was set up nicely to be a great time.

The "vibe team" as they call it left a lot to be desired. I don't participate much in the daily entertainment but it just seemed like there wasn't alot of it going on even if I wanted to participate. I did see them have a game here or there but compared to other resorts I've been to over the years I would say this one was lacking significantly. Most days it was a console board with some bean bags left out and music. One time I seen a musical chairs kind thing in the wayer and another. I saw a corn hole game but being there for 14 days I expected more. They have a ton of things listed and I seen barely any of it actually take place. The arcade also left a lot to be desired. Half the things didn't work and to get coins was a pain also because the guy had to open other games to get the coins. It was good for an hour and that was about it.

They have an escape room. It was actually a lot of fun. My family does a lot of them back home, so we ponied up the extra money to participate. Because my kids are younger they expected us to lack and were gave us a hint without us asking, but we are seasoned vets so we blew through it in about 40 minutes.

They casino is a casino. Blackjack and roulette with a couple slots. Not much else to it. 

The sports bar is pretty cool. They had some NFL on Sundays but it was world cup time so that's mostly what was playing. The food was half decent also and service on point.

Overall this resort was great for the price. I would come back here again at thisnprice point and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I would eat more at Grazie restaurant and enjoy Elizabeths company and service more



An enjoyable experience 

 Royalton splash punta cana publishing false advertising in terms of claiming guests of Royalton Splash punta cana can have full access for all amenities and dining in Royalton punta cana. It's not true you have to pay 30$ per person if you want to have dining or breakfast at main resort and you are quest of Royalton splash. I wish this circumstances was mentioned on web site. 
For some people Royalton Splash or Royalton it's matter of convenience to get to kids activities and it's very disturbing say no world about. That Guest at Royalton Splash are second class 

You can't use all inclusive Royalton if you are in Royalton splash 

We had a family trip (8 people) to Royalton Splash in Nov. 2022 and we had a great time.  Not sure what people keep complaining about in other reviews, but you can't make everyone happy.  We had 3 rooms for the 8 of us.  2 were kids under 10 years old.

We didn't use the pool a lot as we prefer the beach.  There was only 2 days where seaweed was in the ocean, otherwise it was clear.  Beach in Punta Cana at this time of year is a bit windy though.
One thing I did not like is that there was no volleyball or any sport on the beach.
Entertainment is minimal, but it was enough for us.
Everyone was very nice.  You got to remember, they're on island time which we're not used to in North America, so you need to relax...you're on vacation.

Excellent Resort for a Family

I booked diamond at this resort with the presidential suite. I will never do it again. There was  no blankets. The fridge was have stocked. The free bottle did not show up till our 5 day. I went for my birthday. I had a butler. Had him arranged a private dinner for my birthday and he forgot it was my birthday. The map for the resort doesn’t show a diamond pool but there is one by bubbles. And the diamond part of the beach has no view of the beach unless you get a cabana. I tried to talk to someone regarding some of the issues and they were all too busy. They sent an assistant on my last day that wanted me to sign a release for all the issues for a dinner reservation at hideaway. I didn’t. To pay an extra 1000 for a week to have diamond and not get it and settle for 100 dollar dinner is not worth it. I have stayed at other Royalton family resorts and this one was the worst.

Disappointment to the royalton name

Beautiful resort 
This is a beautiful family /kids resort 
However when we arrived at 3pm 
Our room wasn’t ready until 6:30pm 
So that killed a lot of time 
   They had a shortage on everything  especially spoons it was soo hard to find 
  and our fridge in our room was rarely filled up with beers and pops and coffee 
It mainly was only filled up with water 
 Room service  would take 2 hours  to receive to your room 
They don’t fill you in on anything when it comes  your flight 
Or when your suppose to check out 
 
Front desk would rarely answer the phones when you would need something  from them or even if you just wanted room service it was hard to get a hold of them 
Out of the 7 days I stayed there  they called my room 3 times thinking I ordered room service at 2am  and woke up my 3 year old from there phone calls when I didn’t order anything 

 When you go to the beach your constantly being bothered by someone to buy something off them  and please don’t tell them maybe later because they won’t leave you alone  once you mention that !  If you have your eye closed they stand in front of you and try to get your attention to make a purchase 

Breakfast sausages  are a pink /red. Colour 
 I got sick from eating it 
Waitresses by the pool 
  Took there sweet time to serve drinks  to people 
Unless you tip them that’s the only time they would come around  often 

Gift shops 
A lot of the stuff is overally priced  and they refuse to negotiate lower I got a shirt there for $50 just saying punta Cana on it 
If you go to the beach there’s a man who bribes you to give you a free necklace in exchange for you to buy any clothes or decor he’s selling 

Night time show schedule  don’t bother looking at the schedule  while I was there   They switched everything  for different days and didn’t mention anything 
 
Excursions 
Are really pricey 
Just for you to have a dolphin kiss your cheeck is $75 euro 
  Boat ride $175 

Family photos  by the beach or pool 
It cost $300 
By there photographer 
 Tried negotiating.  They  brought it down to $200  and that was only for 11 photos 

Towels in the family room 
 They would only stock up on hand towels 
 And put only 1 large towel so if your a family of 3 or more  probably better to bring a towel from home  pls also bring your bath soaps as well they don’t have sample body’s of there own soaps.  Of shampoo conditioner and creams. But don’t restock it 
 
Coffee some days they would serve almond milk soy milk and skim milk 
  Or some days it would just be one type of milk and didn’t have the rest 

Your typical orange juice wasn’t orange juice and doesn’t taste like it 
They make it completely different 
Even there milk tastes different 

Check out is at 3 on date of you leaving 
So if you plan to go to the pool or beach for the last few hours you stay 
They won’t accommodate you on a room or sweet to change  you have to leave your suit by 12. And have all your luggage’s in a small room  which they don’t notify you about unless you ask 

You have to leave your luggage’s at the lobby  and everything else stays with you so you basically have to carry all your other stuff with you by the pool or beach or wherever your staying 

Please be careful  with your clothing  they kept painting there facility  so my child and her friend were playing and some of there clothes got paint on it they don’t put any caution tape or block off the areas there painting 

Condiments they have ketchup  but rarely fill up  so there’s no sauce for burgers or fries except for mayo or mustard 
Don’t no if I will ever come back  what made the trip fun for me is met some great people /friends and my 3 year old loved meeting some other kids 
But I don’t think I will come back to this resort unless things change 
There is no elevator  so ladies with strollers pls be advised  a friend had a stroller 
And they wouldn’t accommodate her to a room on a lower level  she stayed in a room  on the third floor!

It was alright

We spent  7 days at the Royalton Splash. From the beginning to the last day of our stay  Omar Del Rosario  went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. He was always a phone call away. Thank you Omar for all you did.. We would  definitely  return  to Royalton Splash  in the future.

Great vacation awesome butler Omar

We were a family of 10 and from the moment we arrived  everything about your experience was excellent. Jonathan Melo our butler took care of absolutely everything for us. He went above and beyond all week and exceeded any expectations we had. The resort and all its  amenities were great, and the staff were exceptional, but it was Jonathan’s expert service and attention to details that gave the wow factor. He anticipated everything and delivered a 5star experience every day. Thank you Jonathan, for making this family trip so memorable for us. 

5 star experience from the moment you arrive!

Excellent hotel. Our butler Edwin gave us an EXCELLENT service. He was always there for us. Very helpful. The service and food  at the buffet is also very nice. I recommande you take the Diamond Club. Its worth it. 

Royalton Splash Punta Cana, a place to go !

Over all the place was nice. The staff was nice and friendly. We were given the wrong room when we check in we reserved a king size bed and was given two double beds,  several managers worked on getting us into the right room. We ended up with a very nice room pool side. Mario Davalos check in on us like we were his family. Enrique, personality   made sure we were comfortable. The beach was reported to be far from the splash but it was a short ride on the shuttle and was close enough for us to walk several times. I would recommend this resorts to anyone going to the DR.

I meet Rosa and alexi, they are great… perfect services..very nice person and super polite.They are always in a good mood and they are very respectful. They
 are very warm and friendly. If you go see them you will get very good service. Thanks a lot!!
